“Long day from VT traffic. Gilda was a breath of fresh air. Sweet, smiling n polite. Even when a rude obviously intoxicated man kept trying to interrupt my check in. She apologized " even tho not her fault " & did her job well. Took time to toss her opinion about restaurant nearby which was great & where to get a bottle of wine for my room. Motel 6 should be proud to have a blessing of an employee.”

“I ended up not staying here because the gym was out of service due to construction. This wasn't on their website. When I got there, the front desk person (Hysham-spelling, sorry) was incredibly sweet and helpful. Just can't say enough about that. This was a prepaid non-refundable room through a third party. He and I worked together - seamlessly - with the third party, and in 15 minutes, I had the money refunded. This was the closest location with availability to where I needed to be. I can't write about the rooms or anything else because I didn't stay. I can say that November is a beautiful time to enjoy the fall foliage in that area.”

“Greeted at the door with kindness and professionalism! Check in process was quick and easy. Loved the atmosphere and look of the hotel and the best part was the cleanliness of the entire hotel and room itself. The size of the room was perfect and the best part was no carpets! Hardwood/laminate flooring which is a millions times cleaner and healthier! Bathroom was huge and extremely clean as well. Good closet space, hangers, ironing table with iron, blow dryer and just about everything you would need. Highly recommend this place! One thing I will say is I wish they had slippers for the room, but that won't stop me from coming back or recommending to everyone!Rooms: Clean!!!!”

“I stayed at The Omni, The Graduate, and the New Haven Hotel before. All of them had larger, and more appointed rooms, but The Study wasn't bad. Just a bit more spartan, is all.The mattress, bedding, and bathroom amenities were all very nice. And I loved that the work area is large, taking up the whole area under the window, and has a great desk pad (that's not a freaking glass or clear plastic) that your mouse will actually work on.The lobby is very comfortable and inviting, and the restaurant was superb!I'd come back again, for sure!Rooms: Smaller than usual. Similar to NYC in size.Walkability: Walking distance (15-20 minutes) from Yale SOMFood & drinks: Excellent restaurant in the lobby”

“Very nice hotel at a great price. Easy to find and quite Central to a variety of resturants, pubs, bars and close to the UniversityParking was easy as it was right beside the hotel. Extra fee for it. Would have been nice to know this before hand and get a deal if booking etc.The actual hotel was very nice. Staff was friendly.Bed was very comfortable and temperature controls were easy.Bathroom was great and had lots of space, towels and amenities. Smart to have a darker wash cloth for makeup.Rooms: Room was fantastic. Clean modern.Walkability: Less than 20 mins to get to a place to eat”

“Me and my boyfriend had a good experience staying at Omni New Haven. We chose the hotel based on the location and liked the old charm of the building. We also got a pretty good price. Checking in was super easy and the hotel staff even gave us a list of restaurants which was very kind.We ran into some issues that were resolved (and some that weren’t worth resolving on site but should not really be issues in a 4-star hotel). They’re described in detail below.1. Be aware that the building is old and the HVAC system is not the greatest. We walked into our room and it was 85 degrees! Thankfully the hotel gave us a fan and showed us how to open the window vents (you can’t fully open the windows).2. Because the room was so hot there was a stinkbug in our room. Obviously not ideal.3. I love taking baths and unfortunately the tub stopper didn’t work. By the time I wanted a bath we had been in our room for a night and I didn’t want to move so I just dealt with it. On top of that there was a lot of paint chips on the tub which again, not to be expected in a 4-star reputable hotel. Some highlights of our stay:1. Customer service was excellent. Issues that could be addressed (like the heat) were addressed quickly and without any hassle.2. Delicious fruit water available at the front desk. I looked forward to it every morning.3. The restaurant is delicious and our server was excellent.Overall I would come back but the building as a whole needs some updating if they want to keep their 4-star status!Nearby activities: Yale University, New Haven MuseumWalkability: Perfect location. Close to restaurants, shops, and YaleFood & drinks: Barcelona Wine Bar for Tapas is a MUST”

“The hotel is dated but it makes up for that with its staff. They were helpful in rearranging dates, the first room did have an AC problem but they were quick to sort it out and move me to another room.I did wish it was closer to the train station though.”
