When I arrived I was expecting to have to make an appointment to get the tires but instead they did them right then and there saving me another trip from Mystic to Norwich. It was basically the same thing when my truck needed an Oil Change. No appointment was necessary and I was in and out within 30 minutes.In both cases the bill(s) were fair and reasonable and they now have made me a regular customer. “So I asked FB for a recommendation for "an honest mechanic" locally (Jewett City) and the responses came back with an overwhelming majority for Stilly's.I went to Stilly's and explained the sounds coming from the car. Immediately Scott, the owner, was like "let's go for a ride". In doing so he quickly diagnosed the problem- brakes. I brought it back a few days later as scheduled. Dropped it off and I got the call it was ready a few hours later and at a reasonable price. Screaching sounds from the car.... “Excellent customer service and teaching skills are top notch. Kids are learning how they'll need to conduct themselves out in the world of paying jobs they'll need to keep. Technology careers are the way to go in the country, and have been for the past 15 years at least IMO. I feel comfortable taking my cars there. They are selective in what they take in, however. It matters what the future mechanics are learning that quarter. I should mention that girls are just as much encouraged to pick auto shop and are welcomed by the instructors and treated no different. I feel qualified to review because my daughter attended Norwich Tech and had many friends in the auto shop, and visited the shop a lot.”
