I highly recommend using Moore's Sawmill for sourcing local rough cut lumber for any project big or small. Doug is patient, knowledgeable and great to work with. Definitely worth checking out. Buy local.

Awesome place, an absolute woodworkers dream with all different species of rough cut lumber to choose from with great prices. The sawmill should belong in a museum and the owner is a pleasure!

Super rude and prices are double of most sawmills, would not send my worst enemy his way!!!! Was yelled at for not parking in the correct space, even though there were no parking spots maked nor any signs as to were to park. I tried calling first but that was unfruitful, would not tell me if he had what I was looking for in stock. I decided to take a ride and view the inventory, thats when I was yelled at for not knowing were to park. After I found what I was looking for his prices were double the other local sawmills. I offered to pay cash and buy in bulk if he would offer fair market prices and he said no. Dont waist your time!!!!!!

Don is wise, patient and friendly. I'm a novice wood worker and found the thought of a lumber mill somewhat intimidating. However, Don sincerely likes making friends (customers) and answered all my questions and gave me all the time I needed.

5th generation, oldest continous running business in Bloomfield. If you're a woodworker or need products for a particular project, you need to go there. Very informal.

We purchased a custom milled 12"x6"x16' beam from Moore's Sawmill, for the Manchester Land Trust's Cider Barn.We had a rotten beam at the pole barn, and it needed to be replaced. The board of directors wanted to keep with sawn lumber rather than an engineered beam.Attached are pics of the beam we got from Moore's, and the install of the product. This sawmill is the only place around here that I know of to get a product like this. So it was well worth the cost and convenience.Highly recommend this business, and we're happy to keep our money local.

Saw that the mill was just around the corner from me. I stopped in and got the tour, which was fascinating to see the huge saw and operation. Came back for some good quality pine to make paddles. Nice operation, very friendly place. I'll be back.

Really interesting place. Stopped in randomly before Christmas and the owner took about 30 minutes out of his time to walk me around, show me everything, and give me some history about the place. Brought my kids back the next day to see the sawmill in action, which was not something you get to see that often. If you're looking for a mantle, flooring or slabs using local wood I'd highly recommend stopping in.

the guy that used to work there (jim moore) is also my father and a great person although sometimes he can get very in depth with history but he just loves learning about our family history. he’s a very good wood worker and the sawmill is a very fun place to be if you happen to be the son of someone who works there. i recommend going here for anything you need with wood.

Great place for custom lumber with huge selection of woods, also a great place to get live edge wood, the owner Don and his kids are great resources and always willing to help and educate.
