“I don't think that I've ever reviewed a "package" store before but this place is so much more! I had heard about it for awhile so I popped in when I was in Morris and was glad that I did!The Wise Old Dog is the Rolls Royce of all packies! Everything was impressive from the decor and layout of the building to the amazing variety of liquors. You want a Coors Light? They got you covered. What about a nice cab? Done. You also want a $300 bottle of Scotch brewed from the tears of the Loch Ness Monster herself? No problem.They had a complimentary wine tasting going on when I was there as well! What a great business to have in Morris!”
“We already loved this store for their large variety of local IPAs. Learning that they offer curbside pick up really was the cherry on top. Not having to unbuckle and rebuckle my toddlers is just so convenient. They even threw a few a lollipops in the bag for the kids. Will absolutely recommend for anyone in the watertown/oakville area.”

“I was very impressed with this store. I stopped in after the UConn ladies basketball team won, and wanted to get a bottle of Chardonnay. They didn't have the brand name I was looking for, however, they were very professional and helped me select the bottle that was equivalent to the one I was looking for. “Bantam Country Liquors is a wonderful little shop about 20 minutes north of our home in New Milford. My wife and I stopped by on a whim because I have taken a recent interest in whiskey and bourbon. I also tend to avoid huge box stores typically staffed by people with little knowledge of the products and incentivized to push certain brands over others.This is not a large store by any stretch. The aisles can be a little tight but this coziness is countered by an excellent, curated selection, knowledgeable and approachable staff, and very reasonable pricing.Like I said, I’m late to the brown liquor party. I’m 53 and never had a taste for bourbon or whiskey but I figure there had to be something to it. So, imagine my relief when I entered this store and met one of the owners, Paul.Sporting a shorn head with an impressive grey beard, Paul looked more like a wizard than a booze salesman. But get him going about brown liquor and the wizard comes out. He enthused about all different types of bourbons, focusing on offerings that would neither offend, nor kill, a newbie like me. He even offered up a sample for me to try, just to get an idea of what my palate was all about. He went through the shelves enthusiastically, pulling out bottles, commenting on their depths of flavor, their mash bills, barrel types, who’s local and which ones are mass-produced. It was a lot of information but it was good information. This sort of crash course was exactly what I needed. Rather than committing to a single 750 ml bottle that I may not like and would probably take over a year for me to drink, I went with a set of samples from Litchfield Distillery — a small operation located just a few miles up 202.We couldn’t be happier that we found Bantam Country Liquors. They are now my go-to store for not only liquor but they have very high quality wine and beer as well. And from a relative teetotaler like me, that’s a rave. Anyone who has a keen interest in wine, beer, or, in particular, liquor should stop by and say hi. Definitely worth the trip.”

“I had honestly expected so little from the Morris Spirit Shop - maybe beer and whatever their regular customers drink. But no, it's got a great selection, especially for its physical footprint! Outside the bushes are well maintained, and there are even places to sit on the front porch. Parking has a frequent turnover , but there's a lot of room in the front lot to maneuver.Inside, it's bright and cheerful, with lots of varieties for wine, beer, and liquor. The cashier (who may have been the proprietor) was friendly and happy to help with finding a certain something or a similar alternative in stock. I went in with the expectation "I'll know what I want when I see it", which he respected, but also I found a great wine for a gift and a bunch of little nip bottles to try out! Prices were very reasonable as well.”

“I had ordered Jack Daniels rye through door dash. The order that I received was wrong. I called to tell them and asked what could be done. The owner apologized and drove to my house with the correct bottle I ordered! Amazing customer service. I will continue to shop there”

“This is my go to liquor store of choice in the area and has been for years. Why? Not because they have a warehoused-sized selection, and not because they have a staff of douchebag wine/beer snobs on hand to recommend something that's going to end up being really disappointing. They don't have either of those things, so if that's what you require, go elsewhere.”
“I knocked off one star due to the difficulty in finding your store. Your street sign needs to stand out more. Colors are dark without any contrast. It took two phone calls and even saying TD bank, it wasn't easy. Please change out your signage.
BTW....the girl with the blue NY Giants hat was very helpful.

“The Bethlehem Spirit Shop is the personification (building-fication?) of a small town liquor store. They have all the big names, several bottle sizes for liquor, cooler for beer, and rows of different wines. The clerk was eager to offer their assistance to help me find what I was looking for, even noting if I was getting something for a local they might be able to make personal recommendations. It was fantastic service, although I wasn't as helpful as a customer! (I knew what I was looking for only when I saw it.) Parking is a little tight, but it's an easy in and out onto the road.”
