“This morning, I stumbled upon an exceptional grocery store. Upon entering, the abundance of nature and plants immediately uplifted my mood. The display of healthy foods inspired me to make healthier choices. The friendly staff greeted me warmly, using positive affirmations and manners. As I was leaving, I met Dave, who introduced himself as the manager. I expressed my gratitude for the positive experience and commended the store as a role model in the industry, wishing them continued success. If you’re in the Bethel, CT area this the grocery store to go too. Thank you Caraluzzi’s.”

“Just came here for some meat. The meat is great quality and the customer service is excellent. I was helped by a very nice lady who helped me find what I needed. I got some steaks and asked to have it marinated and they did it. It was delicious and incredibly tasty cooked on a pan.”

“My absolutely favorite place to eat or take out. Authentic Latin food fresh every day. What's more amazing the PRICE for half of what you would pay for fast frozen cooked food my friend its actually worth eating there every day versus buying food at the grocery store then prep and cook. You will not be disappointed.”

“Stopped by on a Saturday evening to pick up dinner along with some groceries for our Airbnb while staying in Newtown. The store and staff are lovely. A vast selection of all the items you need, very clean and organized in a convenient location.”

“So far I have found everything I need, the deli lady was nice and helpful. The isle guy wasn’t too nice, he made me feel like I shouldn’t have asked where to find what I was looking for. And at the cashier it’s all confusing, I think they should just let us form in line as we go and no redirected like zombies ?‍♀️”

“Well worth the trip. What they lack is extremely well compensated by the immense savings they pass onto the customer. Their order pick system is also incredibly speedy, usually being ready hours before pick-up time if you’d like to arrive early. The staff is sparse, you have to have quarters to get a cart, and the inventory is somewhat limited as it’s a smaller store than most supermarkets. That being said, the staff that’s there is fantastic, and the prices are unbeatable. I pay $100 here for what I’d spend $200 on at my local supermarket. With everything being so expensive nowadays, it’s been a significant help. I still get a few select items that aren’t available at Aldi from other stores, but the majority of the household grocery shopping is done through their website now.Additionally, according to all the job listings I’ve seen, they pay a few dollars above minimum wage, so their cost cutting doesn’t involve skimping on hourly wages. I enjoy not participating in that sort of garbage. The beer is undrinkable, though. If you’re thinking about buying that from here, I’d advise you simply don’t. Most other things, however, are good quality, and I highly recommend the store.”

“A lovely market that’s close to home and almost never crowded. Unfortunately, I often find it hard to do my regular grocery shopping here. The fact of the matter is that big box grocery stores have better discounts. Some of the pricing here is astronomical and without a savings membership, a lot of products are simple inaccessible. The store at times can feel a tad tight and for whatever reason, I always have an issue with the automatic doors—I’m guessing a service should be in order. However, the cashiers are friendly and the hours make it an easier stop on the way home from work.Generally, while not perfect, this is a great community market to supplement your grocery needs.”

“4 stars only because they use buttercream (bleh) instead of cream cheese frosting on their carrot cake. Otherwise, absolutely wonderful bakery and butcher shop there.”

“Caraluzzi's is a really nice market. Very good quality meat, produce, seafood. Several steps up from ShopRite, but if you shop the sales, prices are in line with a regular supermarket.Family owned, i think. Nice and clean.”
