The Gift Cottage is a staple of downtown Bethel, which starts with the super cute and well-kept exterior. Inside are lots of well made gifts, most of which you won’t find anywhere else (especially the Christmas ornaments that have scenes from area towns — those are specially made for The Gift Cottage, and are hand painted!).
The prices are what you would expect for good quality items, many of which are hand made.
Be sure to try a truffle, but be warned: you may leave with a box! They’re out of this world.
Last but certainly not least is the staff - Joan, her daughter and the rest of the team are genuinely friendly people who clearly love the store, their customers, and take pride in curating unique gifts that fill their store.
My wife found several treasures, including a nice small purse and mosquito repellent scarf! Oh, and of course truffles. =)
I HIGHLY recommend The Gift Cottage and can’t wait to return.

What a generous local shop owner! Some of the nicest gift ideas and yummy chocolates for special events or just a a chocolate craving. Would HIGHLY recommend this shop as your next stop for baby, home and wedding gifts.

What a great stop at the Gift Cottage yesterday! It was great to see Joan, Terry and Bob. It was packed - people were having fun collecting gifts. My own hands were full - a beautiful birthday gift for Anna and Christmas gifts for family and friends. Oh - and chocolate! OK - those are just for me. And Steve.

Purchased the truffles. These were awful! They were clearly not fresh as they tasted like refrigerator and not like chocolate. Out of 24 truffles, threw away 11 /spit out 6. Not worth it, better chocolate could be found elsewhere.
