“An all around great place to find your next escape from your reality with a good read! Relaxing atmosphere. Add snacks & caffeine, what more could you want!?! ?”
“The Fat Robin is THE place for wild bird supplies. Might be one of the last stores to still be a Brome Dealer. Great selection and inventory, very well organized and the staff is great! Can you find something cheaper elsewhere? Probably. But. you wont get the level of service you get at Fat Robin. The fact that this store has been in business for 28 years speaks volumes.”
“I can always find something to read at Books & Co and the price is right! Most books are in excellent shape. Plus, with trade credit it makes the price even better. Also, in addition to books, they sell both coffee and bakery items and a variety of small gift items. My kids are somewhat obsessed with their section of small unique toys (fidget spinners, squishy animals, etc) so it's a no-brainer to come here for birthday gifts and stocking stuffers. Highly recommend.”
“Extremely comfortable and vibey cafe. A must go for anyone who just wants excellent, and extremely affordable coffee and bagels. Free water is provided and the staff were extremely friendly. Theres are tonnes of books on the shelves as well for you to browse through.”
“my FAVORITE place to go for books. and now they have the book annex, an entire building full of $1 books! and everything i pick up is in great condition. i recommend stopping by the coffee shop around the corner and spending a few hours here.”

“Lots of stuff for students and tons of New Haven swag. Would like to see better organization of the athletic stuff (football specifically) to make it easier to find. Also bigger sizes for football stuff as players are generally XL or 2X or bigger.”
“This is a nice concept:Book store with a coffee shop, a serious book store. Some of the stuff are premade, so adjust your expectations.Their bakery’s portions are big, but being a usual France traveler, it’s just OK. Good for feeding hungry students.Coffee, oh coffees. It’s ok for New Haven standard, I guess. If not because the gentleman cooked a nice corque monsieur for, I would probably give them 3 stars.”
“Amazing selection of quality Yale branded items. We shopped during a sale, which made it surprisingly economic. The only minimal downside is that they didn't have dog toys. Still a great experience with friendly, helpful associates.”
“Always a nice store. Clean and well stocked with courteous staff. I would give 5 stars except for the area it's in. There are always panhandlers outside (some will even follow you to your car). They have a security guard as the bathrooms are locked. You need to obtain a code from the staff to use the restroom. It's really sad that Waterbury has gotten this bad. I hope the store doesn't end up closing.”
“Stumbled upon this place while I was in town and their presentation is top-notch pricing is extremely fair and I found things I never knew existed as well as handmaid one-off items with highly recommended”
“Excellent if you would like to purchase QU merchandise. Good if you live on campus and need a few items. I don't recommend ordering online. They tend to cancel my orders as items are not available. Safe location. Plenty of bathrooms nearby.”

“To the staff of the SCSU bookstore in New Haven, CT Thank you for a job well done. I can't imagine the work you do especially during the rush times. Larry Gall - you're the best!”
“This is a gem of a place. The nicest staff you’ll ever meet, and best of all - books are all free! Make sure you donate to the cause, because they are soon running out of cash and may not be able to stay open long without your support”
“All the employees here are fast and polite. I came to pick up my book only hours after placing my order on the first day of school and it was a breeze.
Thank you Tom for going above and beyond to help me today!”
“I feel that the rating for this bookstore is unfair. I am a two semester customer so far and have had no issues. I have spoken with staff at the establishment numerous times with no issues. They are very busy, and always are attentive to customers needs. They ship on time, their policies are fair. The price is convenient and high because students need things and it is a way for the company to make money, its business. Think about how expensive things are at a airport, it is convenient and local. Obviously there is alternatives , but this is what NVCC supports, so i support it. If you follow their policy you should have no issues. Make sure you order the correct textbook, make sure you look at everything before you click order. If you truly have issues with getting the incorrect textbook shipped, than just go in and get it in person, once again shipping is convenient, if you want to avoid any issues a hand to hand transaction is the best for you. Companies make mistakes, they do not deserve a harsh review or rating due to one personal issue, think about if you owned a company and made a mistake? It happens, we are all human and times have been tough the past couple years.”
“This was a great find--a booklover's paradise! Found some fun old children's books and some great first editions (nothing super valuable but cool to find). You could literally spend hours here browsing. And that was in the smaller barn! There was a larger barn also full of books we did not get to. Have to save it for another trip.?”
