I enjoy shopping at Stop&Shop in Berlin and New Britain! Shopping is made easy knowing that what I’m buying is in stock ! I have been to both during their busy times and have not had long lines to wait in! The produce is always fresh and affordable!

The Stop and Shop in Berlin needs to do better. I ordered Deli order ahead, received a text that it was ready, my daughter went in to pick it up and of course it was not ready, was not even started. I would not have said anything if it were the first time, but the last 2 times same thing happened. I tried again today because my daughter was picking it up for me. You need to do better! why offer a convenience when it never works! Also you NEVER have sale items in stock, its so frustrating to go there and not find items that you had purchased every week and then its not there! Unacceptable...time to find another grocery store!

I was given two stop and shop gift cards for christmas from different people. Neither of them swiped. I asked if it were possible to get replacements and they said no. So they entered the numbers. Today, I went in, they tried to enter the numbers multiple times (incorrectly) then gave up and just told me I had zero balance on both of them. Oh? The cherry on top is that they tried to keep them, but I told them I wanted them back... I checked online and they had a balance. Not only did they try to steal my money, but they also didn't use the balance leaving me to pay out of pocket.

I needed some Distilled water to mix with the green antifreeze/coolant I purchased in full strength concentrate form.
I asked the young gentleman who was working produce where I can find it, and was kind enough to take a moment and show me where to look.
The person at the check out was also helpful. Overall, I had a good experience shopping here.

Nasty place they lock the doors at 940pm they say they close at 10 pm and they lock the door because no one want to work

Always been a grocery favorite of mine. And now I work here! ?Come to the Deli and see me for some fresh meats and cheeses. Everyone here is very nice to me.

I really like this stop & shop location! It was super easy to get to and just enough off of the turnpike so that it's not as busy. I like that there's a small park right next to the parking lot. Everything seemed pretty stocked which surprised me. I noticed stocking has been a common issue for most stop & stop's that I've been to. Everything was very organized. I think this location will be my new preferred grocery store.

**Do not buy any gift cards from this store.** (( Stop & Shop Berlin, Connecticut.)) Someone is changing the gift cards from the packaging and you can't even tell.** I like the store I've been shopping they're faithfully for 6 years now. But this year 12/08/2023 I bought some gift cards off their display as part of my kids christmas present . The packaging looked absolutely fine, but someone had taken the gift cards out and replace them with old gift cards that had stickers on them, which I'm assuming was made to look like the cards that should have been in the packaging. Stop & Shop said I'm sorry there nothing I could do for you you need to call the gift card company. : VANILLA VISA GIFT CARD : And as of now, the gift card company has it under investigation. But I don't have any hope of getting my money back. So check the gift cards before you leave the store. Open them up make sure what's in the packaging is right and all numbers match on the cards and receipt and even call the number on the card to make sure they have been activated and everything is correct. I don't understand why the store is not liable for something like this seeing how they are the one selling the gift cards and you would think they would be liable for the security in makeing sure that there is nothing wrong with the gift cards. It's really bad not only am I out the $200 for the gift cards. I am also out $200 more beause these gift cards were part of my kids christmas presents. So I am now actually out $400 dollars. I will never ever buy gift cards again.

I ordered a cake for my baby shower and it’s not what I expected it was different from what was on there book and My mom called to see if they can just give us a different cake the employee was very rude and not working with us what so ever so if you’re going to order a cake you’re better off going somewhere else where they know what they are doing never again. They said they called only called me once to confirm never got a call again so don’t waste your time or money at this bakery. 50.99 not worth something that’s not what you wanted. It was supposed to be what looks like a picture printed on the cake and this is what I got. Never again.
