My personal experience with Ryan is that he is a wonderful resource for auction, sales and value of your precious items. He is honest and extremely knowledgeable. I recommend Nest Egg and Ryan highly! Also a reputable resource for Realtors with assistance needed for estate sales, and evaluations, as well!

Dealt directly with Ryan on selling some gold rings and bracelets. First I really liked his approach as he was direct and I found him more than fair. He offered me far more than his competitors and shared how we came up with his pricing - others did not. I walked away very happy, and I know that I will do business with him again!

I've had a auction relationship with Nest Egg for many years, from appraising to buying to selling. Every one of my experiences have been handled courteously and honestly. I find some of my favorite times are attending auctions at Nest Egg, a family run operation. Ryan, Jen and their mom are great to work with, as are all staff that are working during the auctions. During the Covid-19 situation, they've had to go basically 100% online, but we're hoping once the pandemic clears out, live auctions can get back to normal.

Not horrible, but could be better, My issue is when asking for the next bid, the auctioneer will sometimes see two people with their hand/number up and count one towards the amount he is asking for and the other as the next amount almost simultaneously. I have ended up paying more than I intended because of this. Also, sometimes the increments are a little too high between bids.I liked it a little better when they were in Meriden, although this location is actually closer to my house.

Unprofessional. I won ~40 mineral specimens in a recent auction and most of them arrived with no labels or other documentation. Many had labels actually pictured or described in the auction. Others didn't: they were rendered worthless by this auction house's lack of care. I asked if they might still have the labels, but they didn't reply or follow up. I'm writing this a month and a week after my last inquiry.
