I've been using banks for almost 40 years. This bank, M&T, is the worst one yet. Their employees don't really know how to do their jobs so I cannot fault them, but that should tell you something about the company behind them. If you have any other options, go with someone else.

I'm writing this as I stand in line. I've been here for 20 minutes. There are 4 tellers open and they have not moved the line. This is simple incompetence. Thankfully Citi sent me information to open a new checking account with benefits.

I miss Peoples so much. Just waited in the drive through line for 45 minutes. Nothing is easy. It's awful. I loved peoples and hate this bank already.I am switching banks asap.

I was with Farmington Bank for 29 years and never had an issue. Ever since People's bought them I have had AT LEAST one issue a month. From service fees that don't show up until the end of the month for things Farmington never charged for, to the horrible design of their online banking site, to transactions that show up on your online statement immediately, but aren't deducted from your account yet, making it difficult to know how much money you actually have until 24-48 hours later. They are a nightmare. A NIGHTMARE! I feel like I am living in a nightmare. I cannot believe I have to change the account number I have had since I was 11 years old.

This latest take over is the last straw. The I don't care attitude of the staff and especially the call center during all this is extremely frustrating. Wait if time trying to use them. Going to switch banks.

Everyone who works there is very nice and extremely helpful! They go out of their way to make sure everything you need it taken care of. Violetta, Keith, and the new manager and other staff are very nice and do an excellent job.
