“This Marshall's is one of my favorites; it's always clean & organized making it pleasant and easy to shop. The only thing that I didn't enjoy when shopping this evening (2/7/2024) was having to hear what I assume was the store manager loudly and aggressively giving constructive criticism to a department manager on the floor in full earshot of customers. This is a conversation that should happen away from customers out of mutual respect for the employee and customers.”
“I was in line with cart full, gentleman behind me had 2 items. I offered for him to go before me. He declined saying he works there was going on break. He realized the customer ahead of me at register might be a few minutes. So he got out of line. Logged back into his register and checked me out, delaying his break time. I appreciate his consideration for providing such great customer service”

“Obviously these stores are a hit everywhere you go! Ailes are a bit small which I think is normal, but this specific location has two guys out front trying to sell candy sometimes. Management says they’re doing something about it but every time I stop by they’re always there. Only reason I dropped the star.”
“This review is exclusively for Wendy, the Store Director of the Meriden location. She helped me with a problem that truly only someone with authority and common sense could help me with. Wendy has ample amounts of both, and Target was wise to put her in charge of a store. I have no doubt that she earns her position every day. She earned my business and respect in about 60 seconds. She actively listened and went above and beyond to address my issue. She proved the importance of what companies do when something goes wrong and how they empower someone in a position to make it right.”
“The availability of various grocery items, especially on the fresh end, is a bit of a lottery. We get what we can but often can't find what we want. It's still worth the stroll.”

“Conveniently located, Costco is frequently our go to shopping location. Costco gas is almost always less than surrounding locations, so combined with great value items in the store, the trip pays off if we need to fill up. People ask us why we belong to Costco, since there's just the two of us: how much TP can you guys use, they ask. Honestly, we don't buy a lot of bulk items, but we've booked a cruise, vacations, and have bought three cars through Costco, so we value our membership more than you might think. The New Britain store is clean, with a pleasant, informed staff.”
“This is an excellent place with lots of parking since almost nobody shops at Kohl's. Kohl's is convenient and takes Amazon returns, which never have a line.There is Harbor Freight, where you can find the most comparable tools at Home Depot for half the price.Then there is Aldi's. Aldi's is a German-owned grocery store owned by the same person who owns Trader Jo's. It is a streamlined, practical, and very cheap way to shop for organic vegetables, cheese, and meat, and I say this after years and years of shopping at Whole Foods. It is half the price compared to Whole Foods for not providing variety. The remarkable thing about Aldi's in Wallingford is that it is well-managed, and the clientele is respectful. The store is clean, and the carts are well-kept and smooth-running. You can check yourself out and get in and out of the store without meandering through aisles of useless stuff on sale that tempts you at the big grocery stores and wastes time. The only time you are waiting in line is during the peak hours of the weekend. I cannot say all Aldi's are well managed like Wallingford. West Hartford and Hamden do not have self-checkout, and the clientele differs.”
