“I have never been a fan of "Gas Station" grub. But Alltown Fresh on Dixwell Ave. Hamden is a pleasant exception. Stopped in and coffee os fresh brewed. Breakfast sandwiches are made in front of you, high quality and delicious. Definitely my mew go to place when passing thru Hamden. Right off exit 60 pf Wilbur Cross Parkway.”

After AAA called in my issue to Wheelers, and I waited 90 minutes and made 3 calls, AAA finally called it in to Mike's who were there in 2 mins. “Love this place. All aspects about it from owners to employees to service and especially the food is spot on.....this is my first review that I posted a few months ago. Here is my more recent review....this gas station is probably the very best one in all of naugatuck, hands down. The employees or very kind and considerate, none of them have any kind of attitude except for a very pleasant one. They make every visit a very happy visit. Other places I dread going to, this place is always the highlight of each and every morning of mine. And that's just the beginning. The people who own the place are an amazing, close ,tight nit family who are amazing down to earth people. And their son is part owner as well and I can so tell that they passed on their amazing qualities down to their son. Everyone there, employees, family, owners, EVERYONE are such a joy. I live right across the street from there, and I gotta be honest, they treat me more like family than a patron. I've even been short a few bucks and I didn't say or ask anything. They just helped me out and said to get them back when I can. In all honesty, not only should more businesses be like them, but if the entire world took notes from these guys, the world would be a much MUCH better place to live. Thanks Jesse, and Prete, and Mama. She has a different spelled name, I don't exactly know what it is, but it's just as beautiful as she is. Fantastic people. I advise anyone and everyone to stop by and see what I'm talking about, ull all love it!”

“I went in here just to fill my tank. As I walked in I was welcomed by an employee of the name of Hector. He showed me around the store, told me about the bean two cup coffee and the in house baked cookies. He also explained about the pulled pork sandwiches and the brisket bomb (which is now my favorite thanks to him). I love this store..cleaned, friendly, and the bathroom was spotless. This is now my favorite market because of its hospitality. Most definitely recommend!!!!”

“Nice little gas station with good pricing for all types of fuel. The pumps are at least 40 years old, but it's not as hard as it seems to use them - there's a latch you have to lift up before pumping gas. The pumps' credit card readers don't seem to work too well with modern cards, but paying inside bypasses that issue. Overall a great place to fuel up on the Orange/New Haven line.”

“They're always so friendly here. They don't wait until you reach the counter to acknowledge you. They say hi ahead of time. Even if you're not at their register. The store is always clean. Their rest rooms are always clean. Store is usually stocked up with product. They were only out of gas at a few of the pumps once. The garbage pails at the pumps are emptied regularly. They're not overflowing like we see at other stations. I've been coming here and stopping on my way through for years. The ownership shows and speaks volumes. Even a handful of years ago before the remodel the staff was always nice and friendly back then. Plenty of parking spots also in case you have to run in for a few items.”

“In a town known for its gas station filled down town Alltown Fresh gets the nod of being the nicest one. I mostly come in to get my lottery tickets and the occasional coffee. Their coffee station is one of the nicest you will see for a gas station. No joke I think their coffee makers are over 10k. They even have freshly prepared food items. Overall a great spot to fuel up and caffeinate yourself.”
