Stay Clear! The Avon team at Berkshire Hathaway is beyond unethical, especially when dealing with Income Restricted Properties. The organization, namely Theresa Maselli & Sandy Fine, tried to get us/the buyer to pay for seller and buyer commissions, misc fees, moving expenses, etc etc which goes against every law in the book, especially State and Federally governed programs. When confronted, they moved on to a different offer, tried to avoid us, and eventually lied/covered up the entire scenario.

Awful.. absolutely awful.
Make sure you read everything you're asked to sign before you sign.
They deposited a $5K check outside of the contract. After my attorney said it was illegal, they still would not return my money after patiently waiting 3 weeks.
Corporate ended up returning my money in less than 45 minutes after a direct call.
Do yourself a favor and don't work with BHHS Avon- ever.

Barbara Burton is the best realtor. As a buyer, we appreciated that she spent so much time with us and really listened to what we were looking for and what would work best for our family. Her knowledge and expertise of the Avon market and home construction is incredible. Being first time home buyers in this type of market, we valued her opinion and most of all she made the experience a memorable and enjoyable one. By the time we settled on a house, she truly became like a part of our family. My kids still ask when we will see her again!
