Ok place to shoot but not gun rights friendly. No open carry.I went there with my friend and dad. We saw one guy who was there before us on the rifle range and who I later found out after he grabbed me on the firing line for open carrying my pistol. Which I later saw wasn't apart of there rules so no violation on my part. He then tells me he is the chief rso. And then says CT is an open state, and he carries concealed. He then says you don't have to show your teeth. I asked why can't I open carry. He said because there is a public eastment from the rail trail and in fear of someone complaining that they see you carrying a gun. standard operating procedure page 7 #21Of there range rules says that they request that you concealed carry while not on the firing line.IF I WERE YOU I WOULD LOOK FOR SOME PLACE A LITTLE MORE GUN RIGHTS FRIENDLY AND A PLACE WHERE THEY DONT TOUCH YOU WITHOUT PERMISSION.

The Andover Sportsman's Club is a great club with excellent facilities. They have many leagues (Trap, Skeet, Sporting Clays...). They also have public training and competitive shoots. The Annual Game Dinner is awesome! Get on the waiting list.
