This place was serene, clean, comfy and all around a great place to spend your time off. We made our way to the hot springs from here and the drive is a little under hour- not bad. This place is affordable too and comes with horses to pet.

Me and my family has came here every year since 2014 early and late season when tent camping isn’t as fun because of how cold it gets. They are always clean and affordable. Zane and Susan are nothing but excellent.

Perfect to kick off our hunting trip. I and 3 buddies met up at Van Camp Cabins and shared one of the large cabins with 4 double beds. Rate was great! Cabins are well build and nicely furnished with Fridge and Microwave + wood burning stove. We used a provided propane BBQ grill to cook our evening meal and warm up Breakfast Burritos we made before embarking on our trip. Everything we needed for our last good night sleep before we headed out into the Flattops. The central Bath house is great. Also well constructed with logs. There is a main room with tables, chairs, board games, cards and books to pass the time. The Men's showers and bathrooms are separated from the Women's. Water was hot and plenty. Susan is super nice and friendly. Great place - beats the heck out of the Travel lodge (worn and tired) down the street.

Really cute and quaint cabins. No TV or bathrooms but there is a public bathroom with showers. The wood burning stoves were amazing and kept the room warm but also gave you a bit of a nostalgic feeling.

My wife and I were riding the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route when a forest fire rerouted us through Yampa. Not much in the way of camping but we were lucky to find these cabins. When we arrived, dusty and dirty from the trail, Susan greeted us and was super friendly. Once inside our cabin we were thrilled to see how clean and cute it was, even with a nice seating area. A microwave and refrigerator helped us make our dinner. The shared bathrooms are spotlessly clean and has everything you need. Highly recommended!

Van Camp Cabins is an excellent facility. It's not a big facility so it feels very private. The cabins are well kept and very comfortable. Susan the owner lives on site and is available if needed. She is very friendly and keeps this property looking great. My family and I are looking forward to our next visit.

I stumbled upon this at dark wanting to get off the road for the night. Very nice lady that rented me the cabin. The room was beautiful as was everything there. I was a solo traveler and felt safe.

These little cabins are super clean, they have log beds and ceiling fans made of antlers, they are more modern and updated, so not run down or too rustic. Beds are super comfortable and the shower house is literally steps away from your door. The cabins are aligned in somewhat of a circle loop, and the shower house is in the middle. I believe I recall seeing grills, and there is a spot for a campfire that is in a remote spot. It is walking distance to the liquor store, the 50's Diner (Penny's) and the Antler's Bar as well as the Montgomery's General Store/Grocer. Access to the flat tops, fishing, camping, hunting and hiking is just a short BEAUTIFUL 17 mile drive on Forest Service Road 900.
