We have been to several glamping sites in the states and in Mexico and this one is one of those that is great in pictures but not so great in reality.
- understaffed ( 1 more person would have made a difference)
- you need to plan all your meals in advance which is understandable however we missed the email ( went to spam ) and a call or text would have been appreciated
- the food is OK , 2 out of 5 stars
- personal preference : the last thing you want to do after a long day is cook your own dinner , I wish this was optional
- we did not receive housekeeping, the beds also did not have pillow cases or duvet covers ( this should be a must for hygienic purposes)
- lots of bugs in tent ( we are outdoors understood) however each tent should have citronella candles or complimentary bug repellent and an inspection should be made for crevices and openings ( there are several that need attention)
-response time from concierge is not great , could be better
- the tents need updating , tip : do not pay attention to pictures online the tents look very different in real life , especially the bathrooms they need up-keeping especially on the paint , refinished , the deck needs to be repainted as well as well as deck chairs (we got a splinter from the wood chairs sun damage)
- the pillows are noisy and really really fluffy , you can’t really sleep well on them
- the bed is very comfortable ! Yay bed
- I have no idea why Caleb is in the service industry as he clearly does not want to be there , Andy however was great ! And the guy with glasses both of them attentive , good attitude and hard workers.
- the lights on all the pathways barely work so it’s really dark, these need to be replaced or give each guest flash lights ;)
- the views are great and location is remote enough to where you feel disconnected !
We, met some cool people , got some good rest , other than that this place needs some TLC , up-keeping and in general better hospitality

We spent a night here in June, and we have many opinions!
Pros:
-views were amazing (photo attached)
-people working there were very nice
-setting was great, feels remote but still reasonably close to Edwards, Vail, Minturn and other great spots
-bed was really comfortable
-the team was responsive to texts
Cons:
-food waste: we had three guests but you could only purchase dinner for increments of two people (despite giving ample notice). It was frustrating both from a (a) financial perspective (spending $155 for food for one person) and (b) food waste perspective.
-plastic / aluminum waste: even though the kitchen is directly next door to the area where everyone eats, the dinner comes in an insane amount of plastic and tinfoil (pictures added). I am very passionate about sustainability and try to support hotels that have minimal footprints. I imagine other guests who are selecting a glamping option feel similar, but it was so hard to see so much unnecessary waste.
-ventilation in the tent: It was extremely hot the first day, but the tent did not have any windows besides tiny ones at the bottom. It would have been so helpful if there was an additional window to allow the wind to cool the space down.
-the breakfast could have been so much better. The granola seemed like it was just crunched up nature valley bars.

This was an experience I would love to live over again. It was a weekend full of stargazing, connecting and adventure. Our walk around the property did not disappoint. We were able to take some amazing pictures!A few helpful tips.If staying in September especially the latter part, make sure to bring a electric blanket or propane room heater.Make sure to zip both the screen and outer flaps of tent tightly before bed. (We stayed in summit king) If there is any wind your sleep well be interrupted. You will park your car in a lot that's not close to your lodging. They have ATV shuttles to help take you and your luggage to your tent. (I enjoyed not having that near where we slept, it was quiet). If staying in a journey tent there is a treck up the side of a hill to get to your tent. Or ...you can call for the ATV.Personally, I recommend staying in the King summit. You get your own private bathroom and you're near the common area.Over all this was an amazing and unique experience. We enjoyed ourselves.Thank you to all who made our stay wonderful!

I purchased a stay there with my family and was blown away by the views, the staff, the service and beautiful tents. It was the first time my kids went camping and boy were they delighted. The horseback riding on property was an added bonus. We will definitely be back!

I’d love to give 5 stars but there were something’s that went wrong and that were falsely advertised that has me frustrated. We booked the king bed summit tents. It says right on the website that there’s a wood burning stove inside the tent, there is not. I was very disappointed by this. Next, we have a shower in our tent yet we couldn’t use it because the hot water doesn’t work. We asked them to come check it out and idk if they ever did or not, I’m assuming they didn’t because it still didn’t work after asking them to come out. The only other thing that frustrated me was the fire pit not having enough room for us to go get our free s’mores and sit around the fire. This many tents, you should have at least two fire pits so everyone can enjoy the fire. Especially since you removed the stoves from the tents. Also, personally I don’t recommend the BBQ experience. It’s unsanitary and at the price point I’d like to have at least wash my hands when handling raw chicken, steak and pork. They don’t provide a thermometer to make sure chicken is cooked to correct temp. The steak was really delicious however not worth $155. I could see a price of $50 maybe but not $155 for u to cook ur own food.Everything else was great! View was incredible. Staff was friendly. Bed was very comfortable!! The granola breakfast was nice, and the setting where you eat breakfast is stunning!Overall I feel I was overcharged considering we didn’t have the stove or hot water. But I do love the unique experience we had and in such a beautiful place

We had a great experience here! All of the enjoyment of camping without the work. The Summit tent was fantastic. Clean, spacious, great decor and had everything we needed - the bed and linens were especially dreamy. Phenomenal setting- beautiful mountain views with horses grazing in the valley. And, we loved the staff - everyone gave off a relaxed, attentive and peaceful vibe. We had a great experience chatting with Mickael during check-in and check-out, Caleb was the perfect host for happy hour and the bbq and Yvette provided a fabulous mountain top yoga experience. The price point is a bit high but worth the splurge!

Overpriced and not a good value. "Everything you'd expect from a five star hotel" is a gross exaggeration. Sheets and towels were nice though. It was extremely hot during our visit and without a lick of shade or attempt at shade (journey tents area) I think this a consideration miss. Service was just ok - see notes about dinner below but will say Roxanne went above and beyond to provide some redemption. She was part of the breakfast staff and I could tell she definitely cared about delivering great service. She brought us ice for our cooler which I thought was a nice touch. Sunset and night sky gazing was great, but obviously available anywhere in this area.Food & drinks: We opted to elevate our experience with the $185 (each) dinner. At this price point you'd expect excellence - in flavor, delivery, service and experience. And perhaps a wine pairing? Epic fail on all points. In fact, most of my 5 plates were picked up with only a few bites eaten - too much oil, no seasoning, tasted like tomato paste and jarred turkey gravy. No one asked a thing about what we thought/was there something wrong, etc. No one cared. Chef did not come out when full plates were returned to the kitchen. We were late for the happy hour and was told by Caleb it was ok, that we'd still get a complimentary beverage - we did not. It was included on our bill. Several of the wines I wanted to order to pair with my meal (create my own experience) could not be opened/were not available. I went to use the restroom at one point and it was full/had feces on the seat. I reported it then was told I could use it. The toilet had been flushed but there was still feces on the seat when I returned. Bottom line - they should not be offering this "elevated" experience at this price point if they cannot even remotely deliver. Absolutely terrible - buyer beware, especially regarding this dinner.

We had a really great experience here! The whole staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially, Mickael, he was fabulous. Our tent and bed was very comfortable, even in the queen journey tent. The views are spectacular! There are plenty of drink options in the communal tent and the food was pretty good (although I do think slightly overpriced). We would highly recommend to family and friends as it was a very unique and fun experience.

We had such a wonderful experience. Our experience felt very personal and the staff went above and beyond to achieve that! Between the texts throughout the day and the open communication, the staff was amazing! Mikeal was so personable. We really enjoyed talking with him during happy hour. The old fashioned is absolutely amazing! Our beds were extremely comfortable. They provide extra blankets without asking which is nice. There was also a cooler with water and ice in the tent when we arrived. They really thought everything through. If staying in a Journey tent, be prepared to walk up a pretty steep path when going back and forth to the meeting tent. Make sure you have good shoes. Our only complaint was the shower. The water was either freezing or scalding and the shower head wasn't working really so the water trickled out. This is being very picky. We were happy to be able to shower and just did it quickly.Totally worth the experience! We also did the BBQ dinner which was great! Highly recommend. We got so much food and it was all delicious.

We had an amazing time, the experience was unforgettable. The weather was not on our side unfortunately, but the staff made the entire stay very pleasant. We tried all the food options and we would recommend them all. Tents were really nice and cleaned daily.

Our stay at the collective Vail was truly amazing - the service, amenities, activities on the ranch and overall vibes were immaculate. From the moment we arrived, Mikael & Yvette (and the other employees) made sure we were comfortable, well fed & having a great time. While there are other glamping options out there for less, the level of service & attention to detail at the Collective Vail is what makes this place stand out. A special call out is needed for the Chef's tasting menu dinner as it was a highlight of our stay--over 10 delectable courses of absolute perfection made with locally sourced ingredients and paired with an unbeatable view. This trip stood out from all my other travels and I hope to visit one of the other properties soon--book your next getaway here and you will not regret it.

We had an amazing time here! Don’t expect a hotel, but if you love fresh air and comfy beds this is a great spot. We did a week here and loved the ATV rides and Ziplining!
