Son came for Trestle downhill MTB action. Left declaring it “maybe as good as Whistler” - high praise! Very uncrowded mid-August on a Sunday. Surprisingly decent cell signal. Great coffee and free (6kw) car charging in the town down the road while you wait for the shredding to come to a close.

I downhill mountain bike at Winterpark/Trestle Bike Park. This is a must location for any mountain biker worldwide. The diverse train, the miles of trails, will challenge you and provide an amazing adrenaline dump. Enjoy.....

Awesome beautiful location with tons of little shops, restaurants and bars. Great vacation resort for the summer.
Nearby activities: Great hiking and biking activities around. If I would have had a little more time, I heard about some rafting which I would have loved also.
Safety: I never felt unsafe at all. Even when crossing the street in the area, the drivers were all waving me across easily if needed.
Food & drinks: All the food/spots spots I visited were slightly low on workers, but they all took care of me with great food and drinks.

I recently went to trestle bike park and it was so fun! The downhill trails were awesome, my favorite was no quarter. Would recommend going here but as with all ski resorts the food is really expensive.

The prices you charge to ride the gondola are ridiculous. Breck is free. Y'all charge $39 to a walk up. Young couple in front of us with kids had to leave. Greed beyond reasonableness.

SUMMER Review
We rented a condo for a week in early July. The resort was less busy than when we've been previously (usually early August), but it was also a lot cooler and more rainy. The condo had three bedrooms and three bathrooms and was enough space for us, but it was not in great repair. There is currently construction going on in some of the buildings, so you may look for one of the updated buildings before you book.
My kids enjoy the unlimited activity pass and it's less expensive than Breckenridge, however the Winter Park gondola requires a pass (around $30/person) whereas the Breckenridge gondola is free. Also, the Alpine Slide at Winter Park is under construction and has been for a few years. It was the only thing that made summer at the resort special and fun for me (as an adult). When it's operational again, I would say the summer activities are fun for all ages, but right now the activities are more kid-oriented except for the mountain biking.
There is a very small grocery store at the base if you need emergency groceries, however I'd recommend going to the Safeway in Fraser for the bulk of your shopping. We ate at one of the restaurants and it was mediocre, so I'd suggest driving the few minutes into Winter Park instead.

Trestle Bike Park, including the staff at the bike rental shop, is fantastic.
Rooms: Founders Point Value Studio was very clean and good shape but had fair amount of road noise starting about 5 AM. Customer service prior to the visit and for check-in was fantastic. Very communicative, friendly, and professional.
Food & drinks: Good variety of food options on the resort property but on the pricier side as you might expect, although frankly it’s not actually much more expensive than in town.

Winter Park is amazing place. I had a great lesson and the skiing was amazing. I also loved the waffles at the slope side. These were some of the most amazing waffles I have ever had. The Lines weren't that bad and they had some great terrain. Definitely will be back someday.

This review is about WP's summer configuration on a Thursday in late July. We did not stay at the resort, so I can't speak to those accommodations. I imagine it's 5/5 stars if you're a mountain biker. The MB trails look amazing and the bikers seemed to be having a blast. The gondola ride provides majestic 360 views. You "can" show up and hike the mountain for free (I'm unsure if you're supposed to pay to hike). The town is what you'd expect from a higher-end ski resort - beautiful (especially the well-maintained flower boxes), posh, expensive, etc. The staff for the adventure attractions were all genuinely friendly, upbeat, and helpful. There were short lines on this Thursday. Those attractions, though, were, to use a rough-sounding word, lame. The climbing wall is the erector set style, and thus small compared to a permanent fixture. The ropes course is for 16 and under, my 10 year old completed it in under 2 minutes, and my teenager had to be bribed to run it. The zip line is maybe 30 feet long. The mini golf course, while beautiful, is in the direct sun, and again, quite small. There are high-quality shade umbrellas and lounge chairs, but the first one I sat on was broken. You can stroll up and check it out before purchasing a pass, so you can make an informed decision. Maybe good for 5-7 year old kids?
