Did a great job for an emergency car repair for my Mazda. Even gave us a discount when we discovered that the initial problem had caused other damages. All around the parts were market price and the labour costs were reasonable for the area. Is it ever fun to drop a bunch of money on an emergency car repair? No. But did Japanese Auto Service make it as painless as possible? Yes. They were professional and upfront, and I really liked the convenience of being able to look at their recommendations, approve work, and pay online.

Very friendly, professional staff. They were able to see me within 2 days, because of a cancelation, when the dealer didn't have an appt for a whole month out. They definitely will have my business again!

My Subie Outback windshield washer stopped working during my last trip to A-basin. Not a good situation for driving the mountain passes. I called the afternoon I returned and they were able to schedule me the next day. The problem was fixed in less than a half day at a very reasonable price. I recommend taking your Subie here and will be a repeat customer too.

I've been going to JAS for many years. Doc, Ross, and Matt consistently provide ethical and professional care. The guys there are kind and openly communicate the needs of your vehicle. I feel safe driving because of the excellent work of the mechanics. I never get taken advantage of, which unfortunately has happened at other mechanics.I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants friendly, straightforward, no bull, work on their vehicle.Thank you guys.

I called Japanese Auto Service because the battery on my Corolla had died. Matt and his team had my car in and out in under an hour on a Friday afternoon fully tested, battery replaced, and working perfectly! The team there is so friendly and customer focused and knows what they’re doing. Highly recommend!

This was my first experience with Japanese Auto Service and I must say I was impressed! Matt and company did a great job. They were professional and timely with communication. The technician diagnosed a failing CV axle. Matt called me, provided me a fair quote and finished 2 hours ahead of what was initially communicated. I think I have found my new mechanic shop!!

This is a great shop as they were able to replace a stolen catalytic converter on my 4Runner. Doc was very helpful in finding the right replacement parts and working with my insurance carrier to their satisfaction. I can't tell you how grateful I am for the customer focused attitude and attention Japanese Auto Service provided me. They were proactive in alerting me to damage caused by a towing service, and offered their video surveillance footage to help me navigate my case. All the repairs were done faster than expected. They were super friendly and understanding about the month long process in getting my insurance involved in the damage claim. Thank you again!

Strongly recommend this place. Matt at the front desk was really friendly and up front about pricing and within 2 hours of drop off they sent a detailed report with pictures of what needed to be fixed for me to approve. The portal was super informative and easy to use. Pricing seemed fair, I didn’t ever feel like they were trying to push extra repairs or costs on me, and when I went to check out they had discounted my labor cost from the initial estimate just as a nice gesture. Will definitely go back for future car maintenance needs.

I have a 4Runner that is my buddy - takes me places others dare not go and makes my work possible. This vehicle is important to me. Doc and the whole crew at Japanese Auto are absolutely the best. They understand the value of your vehicle and they love what they do. This translates into superior service and absolutely no bs in choosing parts and service plans. They give honest evaluations and don't push for things you do not need. They explain everything they know is necessary and most importantly, they tell you why and then leave it up to you to make the choices that fit your needs. These guys are my 4Runner's primary care - just like I choose my own. Communication is awesome. They just get it. True professionals and genuine people! I've had everything from minor work to the majors (head gaskets) and appreciated the advice and explanations and options presented to me. Can't rave enough. Pure pros. This was a great experience. It was our first time using a new mechanic in About 2 decades. The only reason for a change was that I moved and the drive became too far.The communication great. Ride along was useful. Detailed info given and broken down for individual approvals on quote.They also have a great communication tools(s) making doing business with them easy.This will be our new spot.

I was recommended this business by family friends and family members. Come to find out now, the family friends no longer use this business anymore because they were dissatisfied with the service and none of my family members will be going to them anymore after my experience. I cannot speak for the actual mechanics and other office personnel, but I would highly advise anyone, but especially women, against working with Doc. I felt that he treated me with a total lack of respect when I vocalized dissatisfaction with my service, not to mention I believe he treated me differently because of my age and gender. Most importantly though, he refused to take any accountability or responsibility for the immature and unprofessional service he provided. I took my car in for what I accurately assessed needed to be an oil change, shock and rotor inspection and repair. Mind you, my car was in working order when i took it in, but i wanted to be proactive. After inspection, Doc tells me a motor coolant leak is more important than the shocks. When I go to pick it up, Doc tells me he missed a note from his mechanic that said there was an issue with my drive belt. But they fixed it and did me a favor, only charging me for the part. I paid $1,500 for the three services only to get my car back with a gigantic leak i did not have for the four years prior of owning this car. I take it back to be looked at (mind you driving 30 minutes each way from Denver to go there because “they’re supposed to be the best,” spending almost an entire week without my car, wasting hours of my life and money in gas before repairs) and Doc calls me back to tell me they don’t really know what’s causing the leak. It could be a bunch of different things. It’s too dirty under my car to tell and it would take too much time and energy to clean to source where it’s coming from. Then, Doc proceeds to find another note he missed from his mechanic that my transmission was leaking, but insists the shocks are what need replacing (which is what I came for in the first place but could not be causing that large of leak under my car). Overall, Doc lacked basic knowledge of the repairs he was supposedly trying to advise me on, was unable to answer basic questions, and lacked a basic attention to detail I paid way too much for. And come to find out, he’s the manager of this establishment. Go elsewhere.Service: General repairs & maintenance

JAS has always delivered great service at an almost reasonable price (all prices are unreasonable these days!) They even provided advice over the phone when we were out of town! They are well known for being able to fix Japanese autos, so it takes a while to get an appointment, however. When they moved to the new space, I thought it might be easier to get an appointment, but that's not the case. I would not willingly change to any other auto service!

I love coming to Japanese Auto, these guys always take care of our two 4runners exceptionally! We've been coming here for a few years now and wouldn't have it any other way. I highly recommend Matt Walton at the front! He was everything you ask for in a shop service provider. Professional, respectful, thorough and extremely kind. I highly recommend requesting Matt specifically! He made sure to leave detailed notes on the service performed and also made sure to walk us through each item and the major points. Kudos to that kind of customer service!
