I have been a black card member of planet fitness and this has been my home gym since 2021. In that time I have seen a lot of changes, some good, some bad. Ive also gotten to know a lot of the staff, some of which have left some of which are still there. I have been to probably six or seven different locations around the metro and even one out of state. This location in my opinion is one of the best. First, The setup of the equipment is easy to figure out, and makes sense. Second staff have always been positive and upbeat as well as helpful. Third The machines used to be well-maintained and most of them worked most of the time. However I have noticed over time this location has slowly gone downhill since new management came in around 2023 into 2024. In that time I have noticed changes. For instance the televisions used to have a display and play music, now they all have blank screens and do nothing. Also several of the paper towel dispensers are broken and have not been fixed. I have also noticed a lot of machines are not well maintained or lubricated like they used to be. In fact I don’t think any of the machines get lubricated on a regular basis now, which is probably dangerous and could injure someone if not addressed. A lot of them are hard to pull or push, and dont have smooth movement. Some of the machines have loose or broken parts or need tightened. Is this really that big a deal to fix? If I see something I usually do bring it to staff attention and several issues have been dealt with. However Im sure they cant catch everything because they are cleaning or doing a myriad of other things. I would like to see maintenance people on site once in a while for piece of mind, but I never do. I also appreciate the staff including specifically Alan whom Ive known the whole time Ive been a member. He has always been professional, greets members, is constantly running around with the cleaning cart and just in general does an outstanding job! Rick is a close second! I noticed after 2024 the staff do a lot more cleaning than they used to, which is a positive but unfortunately a lot of times there is only one staff member working and the front desk is left exposed so if members want to use any amenities (hydromassage, red light etc) sometimes we stand around waiting to use these items.
Planet fitness I hear you want to increase rates and possibly dues, but how can you justify it when these are the kinds of issues we members deal with? You should be giving me a DISCOUNT, not raising prices!… You are better than this. Please consider the issues I have mentioned. Please improve this location and be great like it was when I first started going. If not I may just have to take my business elsewhere.

The place is good just need a few updates if equipment like the massage chairs , it would also be nice to see hot tubs ,steam rooms and a pool let's cross our fingers for the future of the gyms growing.

Thank you for your efforts to involve Google in removing my previous review. As a former business owner, I understand how difficult it can be to have a review taken down.
I had been a member for two years when I was unexpectedly threatened by the manager, Tommi, who stated that the police would be called on me if I did not leave the premises, I was informed that I could no longer be present as a member or a guest. When I inquired about the reason for my ban, I was ignored and given no explanation. I was told HR would contact me and up to present moment, I have not received any calls.
This experience left me feeling uncomfortable and harassed, and I am concerned that this treatment may be related to my Hispanic background / skin color.

Well I'll be calling corporate on this , Ive worked out at this gym for over 10 years thousands of dollars I've spent at this gym, today I was asked to follow the manager and she said that numerous members have complained that I am flirtatious , I stood there with my mouth open in complete shock ,find out it's from one employee a young lady that I've had social conversations with im 61 years old the young lady once told me about how others flirt with her all the time and how guys are always trying to pick her up the manager embarrassed me and lied about others complaining I will be cancelling my membership and calling corporate shes the day manager there on 72nd many employees have quit because of her now she's going after members I will be telling my friends to cancel and go to 24 hr fitness
