I came in to see if they can fix my DPS skis which were pretty banged up and needed some epoxy work as well as a regular tuning. Nate went out of his way to help me and even hooked me up with a demo for the day while my ski was getting fixed. excellent service. Excellent result.

Employees were pretty rude to us about asking a simple question.

Ask for Taylor Tillotson!!! Our experience was great - he was knowledgeable, helpful and didn't try to just upsell us. We ended up getting the demos anyway lol and were thrilled with the skis he suggested. I was hesitant to go to Vail Sports vs a local merchant but it was truly an easy process with competitive pricing and the best customer service. Thank you Taylor and VS!

Convenient location if staying in Vail village. Staff was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable about their products and the area. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.

Paid $253.33 for four days of "demo" skis. Even though the shop was empty at 3PM on March 1st, it took 45 minutes to rent skis. I used to be a good skier, but the salesman tried to convince me to rent much shorter skis than I have ever used. I resisted. Skis were badly worn and the most expensive demo skis I have ever rented. The friend I was with rented skis and boots. Was given bad boots and too short skis. Went back and was told that there are better boots "if you ask".

I grew up skiing, and was excited to finally take my family to Colorado (we had skied CA for two seasons). Michael and the team at the Lionshead location made our trip even better than expected. Fantastic customer service from when we poked our head in to shop (we hadn’t planned on renting our equipment here but so glad we did) until the drop off after the last run. Their service, coupled with the ski valet at the Ritz Carlton, was a truly VIP experience. They set a high bar for all future vacations. The quality of the equipment was top notch and we ended up skiing an extra day because we were having such a great time.

I rented a snowboard and quickly noticed that the bindings were coming loose from the board. The screws that actually hold the bindings to the board were backing out causing the binding to freely rotate +/- 5 degrees. On my second trip into the shop to have the binding re-secured (2 runs after the first time it happened) I asked a staff member if something could be done about the binding. I was told that my situation was completely normal, and that I should be carrying a screwdriver to fix the problem myself. When I protested, I was told that I must be very lucky to have never encountered this problem because it happens to her snowboarder friends all the time. If her snowboarder friends rent from this place I could see how she might think that a faulty setup is normal, but it is absolutely not normal. My only option was to pay a fee for a different setup, which finally solved the problem. I’m honestly at a loss here attempting to explain the behavior of this staff member. If this happens so frequently why wasn’t I told that when I rented it? Wouldn’t I see snowboarders stopped all over the mountain fixing their boards? Why did the second setup I switched to not have this problem? Why have I not experienced this ever in my 20+ years of snowboarding? Their combination of ignorance and incompetence was shocking, trumped only by my attempt to bring this to the attention of the manager who went out of his way to ignore me until I finally left. Good: Easy and seamless rental process Technicians are friendly and helpful Bad: Customer service is apocalyptically bad Equipment quality is poor Non-technical staff are inexperienced and rude Verdict: Rent somewhere else.

Came to our room at the hotel and fitted the entire family with boots. Troy did a great job of explaining the fit and adjustments of the boots for our kids - who were skiing for first time. Prices are okay but more competitive services are available from the other sports stores. 20% discount was made available to us from our resorts concierge so ask around.

Our family took the 18 mile bike ride down a paved surface and we had an awesome ride! Spectacular views and scenery. The path traverses through the mountains and along Gore Creek. It was an easy ride as most of it was downhill. Had to peddle up a few hills but nothing major. Would definitely do it again. The service was great and they send a guide with you to make sure you follow the path and assist if there are any bike issues. Just make sure the kids know to listen to the guide and stop if they get too far ahead or are unclear which path to take.

I can't say enough good things about the team here if you're buying boots and skis or just demoing. These folks just know their stuff. Mark, Blake, Cozi and Elizabeth, provided exceptional advice and service during my stay. I ended up buying my boots and custom insoles, as well as new skis from Cozi and Blake. The team was great about shipping everything, customer service was fantastic (I literally went in 3 separate times to get tweaks to the boots so they're absolutely perfect). This is how you win business.

Superb experience. Highly recommended if you are looking to purchase new skis. I demoed and bought skis at this Vail Sports location. Not only you have a staff who has the deep knowledge of the sports and has actually ridden the latest releases of a large panel of equipment, can accurately describe what each model will bring but they also have a great customer oriented attitude. The shared passion, honesty and patience allied with flexibility offer a huge plus. Prices are right and as in many serious places, the cost of demo will be discounted from the purchase price. Disclaimer: I have NOT been asked to post a review- or offered any perks for it, I did not know any staff members before entering this shop 10 days ago. A+

Rented a bike from here for the day. Knowledgeable staff! They were quick to help me with everything I needed to know about the area in terms of biking. I would say I am an intermediate level cyclist both mountain and road and found that they matched my experience with the correct bike and even threw in some goodies to make the rental even better of a deal. Much more reasonable and helpful than other shops around Vail. $60 for a $2.5k full suspension, water bottle holder, helmet, padding, and bike lock for the full day. Awesome job, guys!
