I purchased a ski outfit from Northface and was told by the clerk it would stand up to extreme cold and mountain conditions for a professional skier. I was also told it was covered by a 2 year warranty and 60 day return policy in the event it didn't stand up to the weather. Sounded good so I bought it. Wore it once - not even to ski; just to test it out on a cold, snowy day. In less than 2 hours, the seams at the bottoms of the pants began to degrade and I was frozen. It felt like it had no wind protection whatsoever. I brought it back for a warranty claim to the Northface in Vail Village, Vail, Colorado (141 E Meadow Dr Ste 107, Vail, CO 81657), and Northface refused to accept the return, stating it doesn't stand behind its products once worn. IT DOESN'T STAND BEHIND ITS PRODUCTS ONCE WORN????????? I was shocked. This is supposed to be performance apparel for athletes. If a ski outfit can't stand up to a short hike at the base of a mountain, how could you trust it to actually ski in? Appalled Northface won't stand by its products. Certainly, I will never shop with them again if this is the case. The clerk was a young man and I am hoping he was mistaken - tried to contact corporate and they haven't responded. I'll update this if they do. This outfit hasn't even been skied in. If you are an athlete DO NOT BUY FROM NORTHFACE. They do not stand behind their apparel. If you just care about aesthetics, go crazy, but if you're actually hoping for athletic performance from this stuff, you'll be very disappointed.

Pretty good store. Half the store was 30% off when I came in. Got some great upper body mid layers. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable.

Was in the store for 10 minutes shopping for a lot of ski gear then was asked to put on a mask by an employee who has a mask on his chin talking to customers - what's the point? Walked to 3 other stores ( no one had masks ) and got everything we needed.

Went in with my kids and the blond person working treated us like we were full of germs. Sanitized the entire store as we walked through! Then addressed my child like an adult when should’ve addressed me (the adult) about not having his mask fully on! He is 7 and legally doesn’t have to wear one, but should address the parents not the child!!!! Will never come back!!!!

We came to the store to exchange this vest for something else as it was a birthday present. We had the receipt all tags were attached and had never been removed. The person in the store said there was a mark somewhere in the area where I took the picture. We could not find anything but he said he would not take it back. I would not recommend this store to anyone. I like North Face but not the store.

Decent selection on the back wall 40% off area. We always seem to find great deals.

Absolutely incredible experience at the store. Big shout out to Payton and JB, who were both warm, receptive, and very very knowledgeable. I've been coming to Vail since 1997 and this was the best the store has been since I started coming. I will be recommending to all of my friends.

Went into the THF Solaris store this evening to buy new ski pants. To say the staff wasn’t remotely interested in helping us would be an understatement, It’s only an understatement because on our way out the two younger male employees gave us a look like your not good enough to be here. As a former ski shop employee in the Vail Valley back in the mid 80’s we would have never treated customers like that. Not sure who is training the employees in that store but they need to be looking for a new job, may I suggest in the back of a warehouse w/o a phone. The rest of the Vail sports stores that we have been shopping at the past 15-20 years have been very friendly and extremely helpful, especially the lionshead Patagonia store. I’ll be looking elsewhere tomorrow after skiing.

Not a Big selection. Be aware You cannot return any items from Vail or Brecken The North Face store to any other location outside Vail or Brecken. Even though they have the logo and name printed on the recipt. The sales associate told me that I can. I went to return my son jacket to the Denver store in Cherry Creek, they were so rude treating me like stupid, like "everybody knows that " Now I have to keep the jacket.

Friendly staff but not a huge selection. I asked if I could order something from the northface store and pick it up there and they said no because they are not corporate. The chick was nice enough though.
