We so enjoy our stays here. Selly at the front desk is so welcoming and kind to us. She’s fantastic and really represents the hotel in a professional and friendly way. Can’t wait to come back.

Showed up, my toilet wouldn't flush. Fixed it myself. They were supposed to bill my boss for the stay, which was discussed when I checked in. They billed my anyway. I have called twice to get this fixed, but have been unable to speak to a person. I am on hold RIGHT NOW waiting to talk to someone, and have been on hold for TWENTY MINUTES. ANSWER YOUR PHONE!!!!

We stay here all the time and our most recent stay was terrible and all because of the service and lack of responsiveness. There were a couple issues. The major issue was they were painting in the hallway and on all the doors with no warning nor sign. So when I went to open the door I got paint on my shoes and they are now ruined. I don’t know why they would paint on peoples doors that are occupied without any warning or signage. The paint fumes were also not helpful when I had a baby in the room with me. I let the front desk know that they shouldn’t be painting while people are in those rooms (and as they claimed they were sold out and during the weekend) and they said they would address it and have a manager reach out about my shoes. A manager reached out and said they would compensate me for my shoes in Hyatt points. However they never followed through and now I am just left with ruined shoes and no points as compensation. Additionally, they kept painting peoples doors the whole weekend, I would not be surprised if other people got home to find grey paint on some of their belongings that touched the doors. The second issue is their front desk service which is really hit or miss. Some people are very nice and helpful and then others are unhelpful and rude and lie to you. When I asked for a late checkout one person told me no way they are booked to capacity. I saw on their website they had capacity to book every room type so I went and asked a different person, they said no problem and let me have a 3pm checkout. Not sure how that happens besides lack of customer service and unwillingness to help by one person. Thankfully the second Lady was very friendly and helpful and recovered part of my feelings about our stay.

Off the beaten path. Would not stay here for skiing. Not interested in starting the day with a long open chair lift to the mountain.

I’ve stayed here twice. The hotel has nice rooms in a nice location, and a slew of mandatory $50 “services” that largely make the experience worse. All I want to do is park, ski, eat, and feel relaxed.Parking costs $55 for valet (or ~$40 for nearby self-parking). Adds 10-15 minute wait every time you want the car. They have EV charging but the valets didn’t know which type - took us another 15 minutes to figure out we couldn’t actually charge our car.Resort fee is mandatory $55/day. Saw some unhappy customers get surprised by this.Ski-in ski-out location is lovely, but the mandatory ski valet service added a lengthy delay (they accidentally left our skis on the wrong side of the building, and I had to ask 3 staff members before they were found). I could have walked from a cheaper, further hotel in less time with less fear of losing expensive gear.Hot tubs were nice but crowded until late. Creekside location is very nice.Food on site is good but way overpriced even for Vail. 20% mandatory gratuity on a buffet breakfast is over the top.Spa looked nice but also way overpriced ($120 for basic black bikini - I went to Walmart and got one for $20)Creekside location is lovely. Bedding is lovely. Live music in the bar is a nice touch.

I was not a guest at the hotel but was inadvertently stranded at the hotel lobby of the Grand Hyatt unable to get a ride back to my hotel.Kevin Shields, the GM of the property, was kind enough to offer my wife and I a ride to our hotel on the other side of Vail- no strings attached just an incredibly nice gesture. The Grand Hyatt is in good hands.

Excellent hotel with a few kinks. Nice rooms, decent breakfast , fabulous sushi restaurant and unbeatable location steps from Cascade lift and with super easy return access via a blue catwalk. Huge property with EV charging, on-site ski valet and services, stunning views. Coming onto the mountain from Cascade lift is a best kept secret, with shorter routes to the back bowls. We hit first tracks in the bowls this way, no lines.Service was so so (front desk was notably cranky and unhelpful, as if reading from a script.) Hot tub and pool were unheated/broken and no access or information was provided about saunas and steam rooms, which apparently exist. Spa fees are ludicrous and the spa looked abandoned. Apres ski cookies were tasteless. No water bottles but there are free water dispensers near the lobby. Not walkable to anything but there's a free shuttle that runs nonstop every 10 minutes into Vail. Two cocktails cost almost $50. There's an ice skating rink but it was covered in snow. Still, geat for kids and families. We were there mid-week. Quieter apres scene compared to most. Very helpful / kind concierge. Well worth a visit!

Excellent spot for our anniversary. The views were breath taking and the front desk staff were awesome and friendly. The shuttle drivers were entertaining and delightful. We will come back here.

The ski shop has a marvelous ski equipment storage overnight where they warm your boots. Don't to want to ski elsewhere.

Hotel was very nice and room service and on site dining was delicious! Shuttle to main village was very convenient. Only negative is the shower door somehow let a lot of water out onto the floor.

This hotel has great location and its own lift to the mountain. We were super excited about this trip before. However since the first day we arrived we had a lot of bad experiences here. For the first day, the tap water had super small water flow, we waited the first night and the second morning, got a service maintenance done in the second day afternoon. And there was also a beeping noise in the room every hour, called the maintenance again to find the issue for two days finally determined the problem on our third night but the hilarious thing was the maintenance guy blamed us it was because we pressed the eco mode on the thermostat……?? No problem fixed, and we had to move all our stuffs to another room, okay that’s a solution. On fourth night we booked a MAKOTO Japanese restaurant at the hotel, the food was good but the service was super bad. We ordered four dishes, while I was still finishing my miso soup, the waiter came and said he wanted to take my bowl?? I still had half of my soup….. I said no. And after a while I was still finishing my yaki noodles he came again asked to take away my plates?? I still had a lot in the bowl, so I said no again, and after we had our chef’s combo, he came again to take away our yaki noodle bowl……… what’s wrong with this place? Do they not having enough serving plates?? So they urge to take away dishes no matter people still eating or not? This time we said can you just leave it here? And he went away and never gave us any service. We ordered a desert and waited for 20 mins someone came to us and left a dirty used spoon to me for my desert, and after that no service or anything…. This hotel should really focus on improving service and quality………I will come back to Vail but definitely not this hotel…even though we are about to become globalist in one month… bye bye Grand Hyatt!最后用中文跟中国朋友说一句,真的别来这个酒店,服务太差了…Rooms: NoisyNearby activities: GoodWalkability: GoodFood & drinks: Bad

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Grand Hyatt Vail and overall, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the friendly and professional staff who made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The hotel's ambiance was inviting, with tastefully decorated rooms and common areas that exuded comfort and elegance. The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, providing all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a long day of travel or exploration. The dining options at Grand Hyatt Vail were fantastic, offering a diverse selection of delicious dishes that catered to a variety of tastes. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, each meal was expertly prepared and served with attention to detail.Furthermore, the location of the hotel was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas. It made exploring the area hassle-free and enjoyable. However, the only minor disappointment was that the hot tubs and pools were not in working condition during our stay one of the nights. While I understand that maintenance issues can arise, it would have been nice to have access to these amenities as advertised. Nonetheless, this did not significantly detract from the overall quality of our stay.In conclusion, we highly recommend Grand Hyatt Vail to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable accommodation experience. With its excellent service, well-appointed rooms, and convenient location, it truly exceeded my expectations. We look forward to returning in the future and hopefully enjoying the fully operational hot tubs and pools.
