This is a very old hotel right in the center of Vail Village. Consider it a Holiday Inn with excellent service. However it is very expensive. The rooms are old and small, the doors are light and hollow, the furniture is very beat up, the bathrooms are tiny and very dated. The service here is so exceptional, especially for Vail, that I see why it is always full capacity. Adam was very kind, patient and accommodating at the front desk. The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast but fresh and clean. The cleaning crew was always working and did an excellent job keeping the hotel clean. This hotel uses a very very strong smelling deodorizer and it gave my guests and I a headache upon entering the room. Once we aired the room out, it was much more pleasant. The swimming pool is small but the hot tub is nice and hot. I would stay here again if the price was much, much cheaper because of it's location. However for the price we paid I would pick the Grand Hyatt or the Four Seasons next time.Nearby activities: It is on the pedestrian walking path in Vail Village.

I highly recommend the Sitzmark Lodge. The rooms are comfortable, clean & beautiful. I had a small balcony with a wonderful view! They are in the process of renovating their lobby but they gave me ample notice about this (even without a lobby, they are doing a great job of making the check-in process easy). I would like to give a big thank you to Steve who went out of his way to help me when I checked out. I had reserved an Uber the day before to take me to Eagle Regional Airport. Unbeknownst to me, that doesn’t guarantee you a ride and so shortly before my reserved time, Uber said they couldn’t find me a driver. Steve took my bag for me and we raced over to the Vail Village Transportation Center. When we arrived, I called the cab company but they were completely booked. While I was calling, Steve went to the bus station and found out that the city bus could get me there on time (with 5 minutes to spare:) Steve went above & beyond to make sure I caught my flight and I am very grateful. In addition to Steve, the entire staff was friendly & helpful. I highly recommend this hotel and the location can’t be beat!!

This hotel was centrally located. The staff was amazing. We were able to get a room on the 3rd floor overlooking the creek and a great view of the mountains. There was also a free breakfast, unlike another hotel that charged $20.

edit: The reply is wrong. As we discussed, I WAS doublecharged, and it was an easy fix (charging the MOP that was used to book instead of my incidental CC) but you DID NOT fix it. So I liked the room! But I dislike being lied to, and especially being called a liar for pointing out a mistake that no one bothered to correct even after I emailed and called and left this review. $100 is a lot of money to me. My review is for other people who would similarly feel bad about losing $100 they didn’t plan to lose, not a space for the owner to save face. Thanks for your reply though.Original Review:My mother called ahead and made sure the room, pet fee, and parking were all covered before I arrived. She was sent an invoice with a total, prepaid.I gave $100 for incidentals when I checked in (under Brady Beavers, my partner). They charged my mother the same amount she was given over the phone, including pet and parking fees, and then they kept my incidental $100.When I asked why the $100 was kept, they said it was for pet and parking fees.We paid for pet and parking twice. Be wary! And I guess expect to be gaslit if you discover their error.

The customer service at this hotel is top of the line! We had the most inviting and warm service from every person we encountered there. I called before our trip and spoke to Daniel. Daniel was super helpful and helped secure my decision to stay at Sitzmark. Upon arrival, the gal at the front desk could not have been any sweeter. The room was clean, beds were comfy, the view was amazing, the pool was gorgeous, the breakfast was included/decent and the location can’t be beat! We walked everywhere, including the nearby Amphitheater. I highly recommend this hotel, if you’re in Vail Village.

Room is spacious but we got a non smoking room and it still had the smell of cigarettesAlso they are a pet friendly Lodge but I don't have a dog & my room shouldn't smell of pets in our room smelt like an old wet dog as well for 350$ a night with 50$ parking definitely not worth itThe View from the room was beautiful you can see the river & mountains around but also they charge 3$ a Bottle for the cheapest water around a small bottle of aqua fina is less than 10cents when you buy a Case and they sell each bottle for 3$ that's insane at least buy some Fiji some nice brand water and sell it to me for 5$ I am fine with that but come on really ? Wow such a rip offBreakfast was good tho they offer breakfast burritos made locally in DenverRooms: No air conditioning lol ? 350$ a night with no air conditioning lol even Motel 6 or 8 has air conditioning ??? so if you like sleep with no ac in summer that's this place is for you

We have been coming for over 40 years and 4 generations of annual trips. The old ownership had this place running beautifully and had no problems. The new owner seems to have taken ownership to run rampant, it seems. The once family friendly atmosphere the Sitzmark had now feels like an unruly frat house (not putting a stop to noisy and disrepectful guests/company of guests). I get the impression that the staff may be fearful of retribution for fielding legitimate complaints. I would recommend families with children to avoid this establishment.

The stay would have been ok if the new owners hadn't ruined the family-friendly atmosphere that the last owners had been building for decades. It seems the new owner has allowed for people to throw parties and disturb guests. The people who had acess to the pent house and friends seem to be saying colorful words and racial slurs, as well as throwing things off their boucony. To make things worse, we have had food, a shoe, makeup applicators, and a broken lamp shade in the 3 rooms we booked right after the housekeeping "cleaned" the room.Rooms: Dirty and all untouched by staff other than bed sheets.Safety: 18 and 17 year Olds drinking and saying disturbing things, I'm fearful for my family's and my own safety while staying here.

What is new at Sitzmark Lodge this year is $45.00/day parking fee in the garage and $60.00/day in front of the building. They were both complimentary last year. The new ownership trying to get his investment back in a hurry.

Love this place, been going here for years. Currently under new ownership and remodel coming soon. Great breakfast is included, and the front desk staff is attentive and very helpful. Large truck and vehicle parking is a bit tricky, but the underground garage is great for most regular cars. I love being able to hear the waters of Gore Creek just outside my creekside balcony. The rooftop pool and jacuzzi are awesome. I'll be back next year for Gopro Mtn Games and will stay at the Sitzmark again for sure. Looking forward to it.Nearby activities: Great restraunts all around. Easy access to Vail Village and transportation center is only 5 min walk.Safety: Very safe and secure.Walkability: You can walk to anything in Vail Village from here.

For an older lodge/hotel we had a great experience. Friendliness of the front desk staff was awesome and super inviting. The person checking us in told us they will be working on upgrades this summer as well.Beds were nice tempurpedic mattresses, and we even had a nice balcony overlooking the village. The hot tub and the pool were great, nice & HOT!Be aware that there is limited parking, if you have a big car over 7ft tall make sure to snag a parking spot in front of the lodge if its available or they have a parking garage below the lodge for smaller vehicles. It is an extra cost on top of your stay.Overall for one of the more affordable places to stay inside of the village we had a great time!

We had a two night reservation over Easter weekend and unfortunately had a family member diagnosed with cancer with a sad prognosis. I called the hotel a week before our reservation to see if we could cancel the reservation or move it to a different date. The hotel refused to work with us stating no refunds per their policy. As we all know, exceptions can always be made and I find it appalling how unsympathetic the hotel and the manage was and would not even offer to change our dates for a stay at a different time. The hotel could easily sell the room to someone else but declined to do so. Please support us and boycott the Sitzmark hotel the next time you think of staying there as they have no empathy for their guests!

We loved our stay at the Sitzmark. It was an awesome location for everything to do in Vail. Staff was so helpful, our favorites were Bobby and Angela. They were both so helpful and such asset to the Sitzmark Lodge. Can’t wait to stay again!
