I usually stop here after grabbing breakfast next door for bird seed. They have good prices. Staff is a little on the thin side (aka understaffed store) so if you need a lot of help, drive across the street to Ace. Big R is the only place I’ve found that sells ranch supplies in the suburbs like chicken coops and gates. And chics. They have very good pricing on gates and posts. They carry tack and feed and generally have different clientele than the regular hardware store.

Good selection, bad customer service.They have a good selection of items but I purchased a hat that was labeled at $19.99 and came up at $24.99 on the register.I asked the cashier to double check because the hat says it should be $19.99 and the manager went back found another hat labeled $54.99 that matched and told me she couldn’t bring the hat down another $5 so I can take the $54.99 or $24.99. The website does say $24.99 for the hat but if they labeled the hat $19.99 in my opinion they should honor the price. They obviously don’t have their stuff labeled correctly if the same hat is labeled incorrectly two times.I can say I won’t be coming back.

First, I tried calling the store to see if I could return an item that was a few weeks beyond the 30 day return window, but no one ever answered the phone. So then, after driving to the store they refused to take the return that was brand new in box with receipt (or even provide in-store credit). I understand policy is policy but after checking with manager, cashier was unwilling to listen to why I was unable return the item within 30 days (travelling outside of U.S.). Customer service at this store needs some work.

The supervisor Andi was great. Very professional and respectful. She helped me while she was off the clock. She provides great customer service and truly made me feel that my business is valued.

I bought a Wrangler work jacket for my husband at Cabelas and we went back to exchange it for a different size. Unfortunately they couldn't fund the size anywhere in any other Cabela's stores so Bryce from Customer service went above and beyond and found it at Big R nearby to this store that had the right Size. He called them personally and asked them to put it aside for us to buy from Big R. He gave up a sale to the competitor. When we showed up they had pulled it aside for us however it was $10.00 more so we asked them if they would honor Cabelas price especially since they called them directly because of the availability of the jacket. Unfortunately the manager that was called to the registered looked at it and flat out REFUSED to honor the difference!! No explanation and said no and turned and walked away!! I will NEVER EVER shop at any Big R store!!

I contacted customer service via email. It was the best customer experience I've had in a very long time. A quick turn around time with absolutely nothing but stellar customers satisfaction. I was dealing with a real person, not a computerized response. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

They sold me a coleman bt200 x and said if anything goes wrong with it you have 24 hours to exchange it and it wasn't home for five minutes till it starts spilling oile out of the input shift and I called to talk to the manager and one of the sales people answer and was extremely rude and un professional

Came in today and as the doors opened all I could hear was a manager rudely telling off his employees in front of a customer at the register. Instantly recognized the manager because bascially everytime I've been in there I have overhead him loudly telling off employees. The store is normally quiet, unless you hear him yelling from somewhere in the store.

This is a decent farm/ feed and hardware store.. i've had decent luck finding what I needed here. The store manager at this location is very ignorant and inexperienced... definitely trying to be a big man bossing around teenagers. Once he is going I'm sure this will be an amazing store...

The customer service was above and beyond! I purchased my duty weapon here and I was treated with respect, not a lot of stores show women respect when they are purchasing a gun but I had a great time and I recommend if you want true customer service then this store delivers.

Bad Customer Service.Brennan was our cashier and very rude.Did not greet us. Didn't offer to put my items in a bag. I had to ask for a bag and then he threw my items in it.Rude staff and very over priced items.Not returning to this store.

I have never encountered such rude management. Wanted to take back a pair of pants had the receipt and everything they refused to take them back said they had to much cat hair on them!! We don't even own a cat. What happened to take care of the customer. If they had been nice about the way it was said I would have been ok with it

Went in with my brother to exchange something. While he was doing the exchange I decided to walk around and check out the rest of the store while waiting. The “security guard” began following me throughout the entire store till I finally met back up with my brother. Don’t shop here alone.

I went in this location for my first time to checkout the Carhartt selection to kill some time, and didn’t end up finding what I wanted so I walked towards the door, all of the employees were following me for some reason. When I got to the door I was stopped and asked if the sweater I was wearing was mine. The cashier that seen me walk in told them I was already wearing it. I don’t play the race card, but i was the only Hispanic even in the store. Why me? I felt like I was being watched as soon as I walked in which made it very uncomfortable. I felt very profiled and in welcome. I’m never going back to shop at any location now and I’m so offended.

They had a wide variety of merchandise. While some black Friday specials advertised in the flyer we received were gone, some were still available. Kayla and Brennan were extremely helpful!
