I recently stayed at this hotel while traveling with a friend. We each checked into separate rooms, using our own credit cards for the hold. Later, I found extra charges on my credit card and contacted the hotel. They informed me the charges were for my friend’s room. When I requested a written receipt with itemized expenses instead of a verbal explanation, the staff responded in a condescending and mocking tone: “Written? You want it mailed to you?” I clarified I wanted it by email, but they continued to make excuses and refused to send it, even though the charge was on my card. In the middle of the conversation, they asked me to hold, then hung up, and I had to call back.
When I mentioned I would have to contact my credit card company if they couldn’t provide the receipt, the staff sarcastically replied, “Hah, for what?” This level of unprofessionalism was shocking. I’ve stayed at numerous hotels globally, but this was the first time I’ve experienced such rude treatment. It made me wonder whether their behavior was influenced by my appearance or accent.
Advice to management: Be mindful of who you place at the front desk—racist or dismissive behavior has no place in hospitality.
Advice to future guests: Avoid this hotel if you expect decent customer service.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. This place is also dog friendly and they gave us a nice little treat bag when we checked in. Location is walking distance to everything and the prices were reasonable. Definitely coming back.

This hotel is amazing! The room was stunning! We had a deluxe king. It was spacious, comfortable and the bathroom was divine. We had a large deck off the side of the room that had multiple seating options and overlooked the river. The location is super convenient and walkable to all of Telluride's attractions and dining options. The Bear Creek Trail is maybe 150 yards from the front door which my husband and I did while we were there and it was incredible. The staff was great. The breakfast was pretty standard but good. The granola especially was a treat. My only complaint is the parking. Having to pay another $20 a night to park on site is a bit ridiculous. The hotel does it because they know parking elsewhere is a nightmare, especially on a busy weekend. It was definitely convenient and safe but charging customers who are already paying a lot to stay there seemed excessive.

Perfect location a block from the Main Street where the shops are and next to the free gondola rides as well as a great walking path next to a stream. The rooms were clean and the staff were some of the best we’ve experienced.

This was a very expensive hotel and the only positive part of the experience was the location. It is in Telluride right by the gondola. The room was not fancy at all and did not even have a mini fridge, which is surprising for a resort town. Our room faced the street. There were windows all around and a beautiful view, but then the blinds did not close all the way and the room was totally lit up all night long. We woke up early too because the sunlight came in. The bathroom, however, did not have good lighting at all and you could barely see to shower and brush your teeth. There was a balcony that I wanted to sit on, but it had a big ash tray thing that was never emptied and smelled so bad we couldn't use the balcony at all. The front desk staff was very, very rude. It was our first time to Telluride and we had some questions. One guy made fun of my husband when he said he would park the car and then go to the gondola. The desk clerk said in a nasty manner that you can't take a car on the gondola. We just wanted to know where to go. Another clerk was asked for dinner recommendations and he made it clear that we were like bugs on the ground that he wanted to squish. We made the reservations on the phone, talking to a real person and getting information. But we didn't know, until we got a bill, that there was a $50 resort fee!!! For what??? It was not a resort and it was not worth what we paid. Go to another hotel and give this one a pass!!

This place is LEGIT! Comfort in all the ways it counts, bed, room, sauna, hot tub, etc. SO CLOSE to lift 8!! Ski locker was thirty five feet from my room!! Everything is right there. Town is all around if you want to venture out too. It's all around you, perfectly. Only improvement could be adding more protein to the breakfast.

This was a delightful experience. The guys at the front desk were really helpful. We went in the off season so there wasn’t alot of people. Since it was the off-season he waived the parking fee. In my opinion it was worth the money. We stayed a few nights in a deluxe room. We enjoyed it! Room was clean, beds were super comfy. Pretty big bathroom with separate shower & bathtub. Only complaint is the bathtub is huge, takes forever to fill up & is super slippery…unsafe!Rooms: Room was huge! Had a separate bedroom which was so nice! Lots of closet space!Bathroom was huge compared to normal hotel bathrooms. Bathtub would’ve been better if it wasn’t so slippery! Couples would enjoy this bathtub, it’s big enough for 2 people! They take pride in cleaning these rooms! Will definitely stay here again!

Telluride is the best skiing - never a queue at any lift - and literally every person who works at Telluride goes out of their way to be nice, helpful, and help make out visit the best it can be. Camel's Garden Hotel & Condominiums is head and shoulders above the rest of the local accomodations. Not only is it the closet thing to a ski in /ski out property, but every member of the staff and management do their utmost to make our stay pleasant and worry free. If we have a problem - we alert management and it's promptly fixed. Today we reported a light bulb out in our room and it was replaced within the hour. Locker room storage of our skis and poles makes it easy for us to start and end our day - the locker room attendants are consistently professional and polite. If you want great skiing - Telluride may be your best bet. If you're planning a trip to Telluride - Camel's Garden is the best place to stay. ⛷️⛷️⛷️⛷️⛷️
