We visited this campground in September 2023 at site #119 which was on the edge of the lake, but the lake was nearly dried up....sadly disappointed. I'm still giving this campground 5 stars because the park is huge, clean, and has several loop with many campsites with amazing views to choose from. Our site was mostly leveled and very spacious. Cell service for Verizon sucked but the archery range was a bonus. As we departed the park, we encountered an issue with our rear trailer tire that required immediate attention. I believe his name was Ben (my apologies if i forgot you name). Ben noticed us and graciously rendered aid, which involved the removal of the trailer tire for repair. Ben was amazing and we truly appreciate your service to get us back on the road again. We will return in the near future. Thanks a bunch!!!

They want to charge you $9 just to drive down to the water and look around! Really?

Didn't know the place was surrounded by wind turbines. Windy as hell. If you don't have a tarp to makeshift a lil shelter off of the small solid wind break you will suffer. Car camp it or be prepared to get blown!

Rest stop during our crossing of the United States in 2013. It was good and not expensive. There were prairie dogs everywhere and lots of winds. There is a large reservoir for irrigation. Lots of birds. Metal shelters.

Remote drive to get here, got a little lost, signs are sparce. Plus side, no one in the park, so basically had it all to ourselves! Please note, we went the day after Thanksgiving, which is off season.......

Nosy people. People will steal from you. Some workers will try to make you leave after paying.

Big park, spacious, right on the reservoir. But because this is an irrigation reservoir and because of the current drought they empty it out for irrigation purposes. The host told me on September 22, 2022 that the Reservoir is at 8% capacity only. Hence, it is only 15 feet deep whereas when it is full it is 65 feet deep.

Beautiful state park on a bluff. Sites all have picnic tables with metal shelters. Electric only. Water available scattered around campground. Poor cell service with Verizon. No data in most places. Great sunset viewing. Bathrooms and showers are clean and with good water pressure.
