Best local shoe store in Steamboat Springs! New owner’s name is Madeline, I believe - and just lovely. We are visiting friends in Steamboat and love this store and especially like the unique brands and the new owner made it an even better shopping experience.
All three of women bought new boots and I love the Ugg and Blundstone selection. Excited to see what she will have new coming out in the next season. It’s always fun to shop in a small business that has a knowledgeable, kind and lovely owner.

The new owners are great! They really took the time to make sure I was comfortable with my choice. They made great suggestions when I explained what I was looking for in a snow boot. Cute AND functional ?They have a great selection to choose from.

I have never written a review before, but the owner (big guy with grey hair) was so disrespectful that I felt the need to write my first one! He was so condescending and rude that I thought he was joking at first. I have lived in Steamboat for over 25 years and I will make sure me, and anyone I know do not shop here.Edit: After reading the other reviews I can see that I am not the only one with this experience. What a joke.

Do yourself a favor and don't shop here. The owner is a jerk who is so worried about people shopping online that he pushes his own customers away. Not surprised to see all the other negative reviews about the owner. I hope whatever happened in his life that caused him to treat his customers so poorly is over soon otherwise I'm sure they will go out of business soon.

Absolutely the worst experience in a store, bar none. The owner was rude and aggressive toward my wife. How can you make a person feel bad about asking questions? Are we an inconvenience to you? You sure make us feel like we're a burden on you.I feel bad for the nice girl who was working the register.Please save yourself the trouble, do not shop here. Very sad

Unbelievably rude and aggressive older man who works there.I think he is the owner. I googled the pic of the owners and it was him. I was so shocked by my experience I went on the internet to read google reviews to find out if I am the only one. Turns out I am not. I am local and I feel insulted.

Popped-in on the fly and was SO pleased that I did! High quality, reasonably priced selection of assorted brand walking, hiking, running, etc shoes. Unsure of the Dansko sneakers & Keen hiking shoes I tried, I agreed to try the Hoka’s the salesperson suggested. I’m currently giving them a “trial walk” in our vacation home. If I lived here Year-round it would be my go-to shoe store!

Went into the store 30 minutes before closing and the store owner rushed us out the second we got in there. You mean to tell me you can’t wait 5 minutes?? I literally went in there to buy shoes and he didn’t even allow that. On top of that it smelled weird in there. Saw the other reviews on this place, does anyone else that happened to have the same experience happen to be POC? anyways i’d rather shop at ross than this place
