Very nice place to stop by. We also saw the friendly cat hanging around at around 9PM when we were there (07/07/2024). What a lovely experience!

The bathroom is well-cleaned and equipped with all the necessary supplies. There is also a vending machine. I really like it here.

Quick overnight stop. Truck parking is next to the highway but the traffic and noise was minimal.

This is a very nice rest area just outside of South Fork, Colorado. There are several picnic tables on the grounds, some under shelters and some not. There is plenty of lush green grass as well as trees and flowers. There are a couple of trash cans near the restrooms so you can clean out your vehicle before you get back on the road. The women's restroom was clean, and my friend said the men's restroom was clean too. Near the restrooms there are also free brochures about nearby attractions. Don't forget to sign the guest book!
Signs here say you can be here no longer than 12 hours at a time. You as also can't pitch a tent.

Shawcreek Rest Area: Stepping into the women's bathroom was like a nostalgic trip to grandma's house. It was surprisingly tidy and well-stocked, and I couldn't help but admire the floral wallpaper border and the unexpected touch of a hanging houseplant in the handicapped stall.

This is the best rest stop. It's very well maintained and always clean. You feel very safe if you travel alone and there is plenty of parking. Love stopping here.

I love coming to this rest stop before or after Wolf Creek Pass. It is a nice place to stop for a quick walk or stretch and the bathrooms are nice.

Rest areas are hit and miss, some are clean, some are awful. This place is older, but well kept up, smells nice, no odors, no stench. Plenty of toilet paper on two different visits, water, soap and hand drying.
