We stopped in to rent some fly fishing gear but ended up buying a whole rod and reel setup. The staff was so amazingly cool and down to earth. They helped us pick out the perfect setup and got us all ready for a day of fishing. Lots on tips and info about the area and went well over and above to make our day a good one. Wish we lived closer so we could come shop here more. Thanks for the great buying experience!

I had the privilege of floating with Abe from 8200 Myn Sports. Not only is he an exceptional individual but knows the river and the fishing intimately. I can’t wait till next year and will definitely use 8200 for my fishing needs.

I am from Louisiana and was staying at Fun Valley Resort with Rio Grande running through resort and went to ask what fly's they recommended and bought just two, by the second cast I caught my first rainbow, I had to go back to by more flys because I also caught some branches but caught total of 10 trout in just couple hours. So I can say they guided me in right direction and very nice people. Thank you again

I recently had a very disappointing experience at the 8200 mountain sports shop. Not only did they charge us extra money and got short with us over a ski swap out, but when my father wrote a negative review expressing our dissatisfaction, their response was incredibly rude and untrue. It's disheartening to see a business not only overcharge their customers for something that simple but also treat them with such disrespect when they voice their concerns. It is frustrating to encounter a business that not only overcharges its customers for something as simple as getting shorter skis but also lacks professionalism and customer service skills. We will definitely not be returning to the 8200 mountain sports and would strongly discourage others from patronizing it, as it seems they prioritize profit over customer satisfaction. And to the owner looking to bash reviewers who are simply expressing their own experience with the shop maybe try to use the reviews as a way to learn and grow. If you are looking for a quality ski shop that has AMAZING customer service try Docs ski shop.

I strongly recommend steering clear of 8200 Mountain Sports due to their rude behavior. When my children felt uncomfortable with the long skis chosen by the staff, Pierce and another staff member were rude and unhelpful. It took only 4 minutes to exchange sizes, yet they were hateful about it. This was a terrible experience for my young family, and I have never encountered such behavior at a ski rental facility before. I suggest renting from Docs down the street instead! The response from the owner is a lie, further showing their character! Avoid avoid avoid!!!

I have been using this place for years and has always been great. But today I did a two day rental. We had a huge party. There was a lot of confusion and young skiers. we ended up renting equipment for two days but by the end of the first day several people were done so I went to return equipment and they do not offer refunds for unused days even though I returned the equipment on the same day I rented it.
There has been lawsuits cases over predatory policies like this so I will not be returning to this place. I would suggest looking at other ski shops that are not greedy and offer a refund or credit for unused rentals.
And another experience I had the same day while we’re renting. I was renting skies for my five year-old daughter, and they had Leaned the skis up against the counter. I picked them up because she wanted to see how they looked and laid them on the carpet. The guy at the counter laid into me in a crowded ski shop. And grabbed the skies and Said, skies do not go on carpet. They only go on snow. I will charge for damages! Like really dude! No offense, but I have been skiing and snowboarding for 22 years. Laying a pair of skis on the carpet is not going to damage them. You were embarrassing yourself, and trying to embarrass me in front of a crowd of people which I will not forget.

8200 Mountain Sports Ski Rentals is the place to go for affordable rentals. They came highly recommended and I see why! The rental process was smooth and quick. I booked online and was in and out within 15 minutes. The return process was also easy. I will use them again. Thanks guys!
