Loved the ambiance at all of the public spaces at Viceroy. The food and cocktail list was excellent. Service was prompt and friendly, everything you could hope for!

Everything about this place is ridiculous, in a good way. And it's right on the slopes. If you can afford it (you most likely can't) you should definitely stay here.

The Viceroy is an excellent ski in and out resort. They have a trolly that takes you back and forth to base camp. They are kid and pet friendly. The restaurant is excellent and the spa was the perfect ending to the day.Rooms: Our room had a living room, kitchenette, bedroom, and large bathroom. The kitchenette had a cook top, fridge, dishwasher, and washer and dryer. There was a double sided fireplace between the bedroom and living room. A balcony overlooked the ski in slope.Nearby activities: The Viceroy has its own ski in slope with lift. They also have in house equipment rentals. You can rent your ski's, boots, helmet, or snowboard.Food & drinks: The on-site restaurant had a really great menu. The seabass was delicious.

Wonderful hotel and location! The staff is so friendly and helpful. We went for a conference and the food at the conference was delicious and the coffee and croissants were a nice touch to start the morning from the lobby cafe. The staff at the ski shop were incredibly helpful as well and checked out a ski issue at no charge! The cleaning staff turned down our bed every night and kept our room tidy every day. The location is walkable to Snowmass village and the ski in/ski out on Assay Hill is 100% worth it as the ski valet is so nice! Can't wait to visit again next year!Walkability: Easy walk to Snowmass village and the slopes!

Asian lady at the reception should not be in hospitality business, very rude and non cooperative. We booked a mountain front room facing ski lift but they gave us room at the back side looking st the roads.extreamly bad experience.Rooms: They don't give you a room which you book for, worst hotel

MARRIOTT QUALITY AT FOUR SEASONS PRICES* ZERO VIEWS - They are building a huge building directly in front of the Viceroy hotel that will forever block views. You’ve been warned (see pictures)* DEFERRED MAINTENANCE - Shabby with much in need of repair. Missing TV remotes, phones that don’t work, appliances that don’t work, faucets that drip loudly, bathrooms that are dirty and have been previous re-tiled very poorly* STAFF - Rank and file very good and well intentioned. Front office managers are exhausted from all the complaints and have nothing constructive to say.We arrived at 4:30pm and the lobby was filled with angry guests still waiting to check in and current guests in line to complain about something.I hear this place used to be good. It’s now a Marriott at Four Seasons prices.

We stayed here in February 2023 and had a wonderful stay and have booked again for the same conference in February 2024 - can’t wait to get there ( we’re from Australia and it’s definitely worth the long haul). The staff were amazing especially the ski concierges, making it an absolutely incredible stay and looking forward to more on the same in 2 weeks timeRooms: Lovely rooms - we had the one bedroom for the first night then the studio forthe next 8 nights - booking the one bedroom this year as it’s a big difference in size and amenities , but the studio was still lovely

1 star for this wannabe 5 star resort. I have stayed at many 5 star resorts and this is more of a 3 star hotel with a 5 star price tag. Checked in on a Sunday and the trip started out great they gave me a free upgrade on arrival. Monday I ended up fracturing my leg(confirmed by snowmass clinic) and fully tore my ACL (suspected by snowmass clinic but confirmed by MRI once I got home) in a ski accident. The Snowmass clinic couldn’t write me a script for an MRI so we needed to leave our trip early so I can get proper medical care at home. We decided to stay until Thursday since that was the soonest flight available with seats together. I was in a brace and crutches so needed my husband close by to help me with my bags and ambulating. We asked the hotel on Tuesday morning if they would refund us for Thursday and Friday night since we originally planned on staying until Saturday. But they said no and to have Amex call the hotel since we booked with Amex travel. They also told Amex travel no and that their cancellation policy is you must cancel 1 month prior to the check-in date. Clearly I’m not psychic and didn’t know a month in advanced that I would be getting injured. It’s not like I wanted to end my vacation early but due to my injury we had to. I am sure ski accidents happen all the time but if you plan to ski and want a hotel that would be accommodating if you get injured stay elsewhere! They didn’t even offer me a future credit! The hotel was also empty so it’s not like my reservation stopped other people from staying there. Other negatives were the room they upgraded us to had an awful view of active construction and had stains all over the den couch/floor. Also lots of extra fees tacked on. Resort fees for a place I would barely consider a resort. Maybe years back they were better but I see in other reviews a lot of your guests are not so happy. Im sure the 5/5 reviews come from employees or paid bots.I will give 5/5 to the valet guys they were awesome and they were very helpful taking me around with my injury! Especially since your hotel isn’t the closest in vicinity to the mountain.

Last time I was here I stayed at the St. Regis but decided to stay at Viceroy because of ski in and out. PROS: If you want to ski on Snowmass this is the absolute best location! The ski in and out is sooo convenient and the ski butler service is better in my opinion than the St. Regis. The staff are all amazing and helpful in so many ways. Love the dogs on property esp Vi is so cute and they will give you treats so you can feed Vi. You can also go hiking with Vi at any convenient time. CON: The worst experience with checking in. Arrived at the hotel around 4pm and room was still not ready so ate at the restaurant and even by 6 the room was still not ready. After much complaining finally the room was ready but now it's past 6pm. However when asked for late check out they gave us 30mins so check out is not at 1130 instead of 11. We paid a whole day for our check in day but did not even get the room until after 6pm so late check out should be given. Also the room cleaning service is mediocre. Never refill coffee or hang up robe. Left their cleaning rags behind. Overall love the hotel for location and service but turned off by the check in and check out service. Hope this was helpful

Superb ski in ski out convenience. A short chairlift is right outside of the ski concierge and takes us to Elk Camp Gondola mid station. Staff at both ski concierge and bell desk are very helpful and friendly. We will choose this property again when we visit Snowmass again. If I try to be picky, the only complain is I didn’t like the breakfast that much.
