A huge thank you to Silverton Minerals Gift! My son and daughter in law purchased a mug for me in this shop. I loved it. I accidentally broke it. When I reached out to the shop to see if I could order another one and have it shipped to me in AZ without hesitation it was done. I received the item quickly. This took extra time and effort for the shop owner to get it to me. I love it and had my coffee in it today. Thanks again! Bonnie Austin Vail,AZ

Super surprised at the negative reviews. I have always had a great experience here with great service. The owner is a tiny, sweet, elderly lady (not sure of her name). I would shop here again.

Jewelry is really pretty and decent priced for the most part. They folks were friendly, but making rude remarks about other workers and that just builds a culture of negativity and it made me feel uncomfortable. Up to the point, I felt like I no longer wanted to buy from them. However, I brushed it off since the last we were there we received great service. They do watch you like a hawk to the point it’s annoying and you don’t shop without having someone constantly watching you. They do seem to judge you based on your clothing. Store is decent in size and various other clothing and souvenirs. I might be back if I need later more jewelry for family. Anyways it worth visiting if you are in silverton. They do sell black hills jewelry.

The owner took down a necklace for me that I was looking at. He quoted me $55. I told him I would go have lunch and think about it. When we came back, there was a $65 price tag on it and he said "sorry, I must have misquoted you. I said 55 but it should be $65." Because we were on our honeymoon, my husband paid the 65 and we left but we are shocked at this guy.... who does that?! That was super unethical. He should have honored what he quoted me!

This shop has some of the best prices on minerals that I've ever seen. The owner explained that they're able to do so because they own the building and don't have to pay for rent. They were happy to answer our questions about what each mineral was and whether or not they were local.

Wow! I feel like I just was at my grandma's house. The warm and caring way I was treated today will stay with me. I was greeted by the shop owner, Amelia (I hope I remembered that correctly) I had my husky doggie with me and she was more than happy to have me. She was sweet to him as well. She was very helpful. Trying to shop with a leash can be tricky. But she made it simple. I fortunately stopped outside the shop to snap a pic and she ran outside to bring me the delicious Mango tea I left on a shelf. That really made me smile and before I left , she was giving me hugs. You don't meet folks like this every day. Wow! I will always come here and spend my time and $. Thank you for your kindness.

I’m super shocked at the bad reviews. I had a great experience in this shop! They have a great selection of items. Love that they had a variety of crystals! The prices were reasonable! I will definitely stop here again!

Cashier was very rude and seemed annoyed that I wanted to pay for my $50 purchase with a credit card instead of cash. Complained about high credit card fees for merchants. I almost said nevermind and left without purchasing. Other customers on our train mentioned a similar experience with this shop. Frankly, a lot of people don't carry cash any more and if your business relies on tourists you need to get used to it.

Warning! Do not bring kids and don’t come here unless you want to be talked down to. I wish I read the reviews before coming here!!The lady with brown hair will tell you to to control your kids My girls were playing with wind chimes.. granted they were being overly playing with them, but after my husband purchased a couple shirts here I was about to walk out when she decides to tell me “tell them to stop playing with them before they break one!” Being protective I told her to put a sign up if she doesn’t want anyone to touch them and that they are kids and and interested in them but then she tells me to learn how to control my kids. I don’t know what grown woman tells another mom how to raise their kids. For a store that relies on tourism, they are not very nice to tourist.Although this lady was rude, don’t let her bad attitude detract you away from silverton! Everyone else here has been pleasant!
