UPS provides service to Salida and Alamosa for only 2 hours a day, which can be a real inconvenience. The employee was fine, with a great attitude, but she had to work very hard to come close to serving the large crowd that had to wait a long time.

I bought an item from someone who lives in Salida with the instruction to have it sent to a UPS access point near my home in Houston. I had an address and the store seemingly was unable to understand that they could have the package sent to an access point near my address, so instead they sent it to the downtown store 30 minutes from my house. And I have to pay $10 to pick up my package. This might be one of the worst UPS stores in the country.

I live in Howard and understand if the weather is bad that I will go down to the INSIDE of the Fire Station to look for my package. Now though, even in 72 degree weather and clear roads, they are leaving packages at the fire station and not even attempting to come up the road. And leaving packages in plain sight of route 50 OUTSIDE. And the just use “OTHER” as the delivery location- please actually put in the true location. This is LAZY and asking for packages to go missing.

My husband and I had a return package and stopped by one afternoon to return it. We didn’t realize the store only opened at 4, the door was open however, and we walked in. We were first greeted by a very friendly and helpful person who apologized for the door being open and took our package anyway. During this process a very RUDE woman walked up and yelled at us for having the audacity to walk through an open door. No we did not research in advance for the hours assuming like most businesses it would be open during normal business hours. It is very disappointing that a business like UPS hires such awful employees.

Trying to find a happy medium here.I live in Cotopaxi CO, I work in Salida. I knew the UPS dropoff was here and just assumed it would be open during normal business hours. (My bad) I had a prepaid package I was trying to drop off after work.A very nice lady shoveling snow outside took my package for me, even though they didn't open for 2 more hours.I came here because of a bad experience with another 3rd party store in town.I wanted to give one star for the hours and 5 stars for the very nice lady. Please improve your dropoff hours, not everyone lives in town, not very many choices.David

It's not a UPS Store. It only opens for 2 hours starting at 4 PM. Parking is small. I think FedEx would be a better choice.

The driver who comes to my house is simply amazing, he takes the time to say hello to my 2 fur babies and he has even asked if he could give them a treat, he's their best friend now, we came home today to a package and some treats. That's amazing service.

Truly helpful and friendly people. I had a package shipped here, thinking that it was shipped through UPS (from Amazon), but it ended up going through USPS. These folks went out of their way to find my package and made sure I got it. Thank you!

We had a sensitive package that we were waiting for and although it wasn’t updated on the tracked shipping, the staff was super helpful in searching for it and making sure it was actually on the truck. Thank you!

Never get phone calls answered, terrible hours, 5 minutes of information that DOES NOT pertain to my needs. Multiple completely unacceptable experiences with this location. Only worse service in Salida is FedEx. It’s a shame the drivers have to go through this place.

After 2 feet of snow, I was not expecting my package to get delivered to Howard. Not only was it delivered, but the driver walked up my long dirt driveway so that they didn't tear up my muddy drive. This was a very pleasant and unexpected service.
