Allen Talbot and George Decker are whom I dealt with.I'm from out of state hauling a camper.Had a slew of problem and even with their tight schedule I arrive first thing in the morning, Allen took the time before doing much else to visit with me in reguards to my truck.They had my truck in top shape and put the door by lunch couldn't not ask for better service. Just talk with these guys and be respectful , if you take the time to listen they won't steer you in the wrong direction.

After arriving in Salida from Denver I noticed a smell of raw diesel fuel from my engine. They came out immediately to check it out. They determined it was leaking from the line on the high pressure fuel rail. They tightened the nut on the line and stopped the leak. Ordered a new line and had me come back the next day to replace the line.. When I arrived they checked it and said the leak had been fixed. No need to replace the line and no charge for the fix. Great business to deal with.

Traveling through and our car broke down. Had it towed to them. Turned out to be just a battery issue and they charged $526 just to swap it. What a rip off.

I used Salida Auto & Diesel Repair for a significant overhaul and upgrade of my older Chevy and I could not have been more pleased by the service they provided. They are a small town business. Their service and knowledge are above and beyond anything I could have hoped for. My truck is better running than ever before. I will continually use this company for everything Diesel! I cannot express how helpful they have been, my truck was stolen on the 4th of July and I've had nothing but problems since then. Thank you, this ordeal has been painful and it's nice to know somone in town is willing to actually help.

We are traveling through from Texas pulling our typical huge Texas camper and jeep wrangler! ? Anyways, our Chevy Duramax diesel began giving us issues. We got set up in a local RV park and the dealerships in the area couldn’t get us in to even check out our truck. This place was not only nice enough to squeeze us in to check it out but got the problem fixed within a couple of days. We had another small issue arise after we were in our new area of Colorado, my husband called and they helped him work through it over the phone. Amazing customer service and great automotive knowledge. We will be forever grateful to George and Alan for their help to ensure we were able to continue our trip.Service: General repairs & maintenance

2005- Xterra-Brought in because it was running irregularly, seemed like a cylinder wasn't firing. They changed the spark plugs charged high, but didn't fix the issue. Brought back, charged me for injector cleaner told me I needed to replace injectors. Took to A-1..Diagnosed as bad condensor. 2009 Titan- 1. Brought in for vibration in left front. Sold new bearings. Didn't repair the issue. Took to A-1 diagnosed as tire issue, took to Chaffee Tire - Tread separation, changed tire. 2-Brought in. Struts were failing Installed new struts. New struts were worse than the old ones. Went to A1 had new struts installed. My total out of pocket was over $2,000 and not one thing I brought them in for was corrected.
