I would have given more stars but the guy in there on a Saturday morning (that did my battery purchase) told me "the guys that install the battery didn't get in until 1pm". I came back at 3pm and HE installed my battery and was a bit... I don't know, vibes were off. Weird. Why not just say you needed someone else in the store? Kind of felt like he just didn't want to do it.

I was having an issue with my Jeep battery dying so I went to O'Reilly today to see if they could help me try and figure the issue out. David was the only salesperson there and helped me out so much! I explained exactly what my Jeep was doing, he helped me narrow the issue down to what I needed. He even checked the battery and alternator just to make sure they weren't the issue, he hooked up the code reader and explained to me what the codes were. He had other customers coming in too and was very polite and patient with everyone that I seen. He didn't try to sell me expensive parts I didn't need or talk down to me because I had 0 knowledge of what was happening to my Jeep. He was very helpful!

Three guys working when I walked in. All said hi, welcome. But none asked if they could help me. Kinda like they were waiting on me to pick one of them myself. Sorta odd. Beyond that oddness, nice store and friendly.

One minute to six pm and driving in a snow storm and my windshield wipers were leaving nothing but streaks when we came upon O'Reilly Auto Parts. The clerk found new wiper blades and installed them in a driving snow storm. Many thanks and appreciation.

They mean well but motion is NOT action.
Summer 2022:
They wanted an additional $10.50 freight for a part which I had asked them to order. They said it would be here today and acted like that is the deal.
Of course, I laughed at them then went to FCP Euro and got one shipped here (arrived today) for less than Oreilly's pre-tax asking price.
I do all I can to support the local brick and mortar and this was the result. Go figure.
Fall 2022:
This time, one gal tried to tell me to put ATF4 in my XJ which came factory with Mercon III. Shook her head when I told her wassup.
One is full synth the latter is a blend. Do NOT mix the two!!! Trust me.
Chrysler has been using a synthetic ATF, either ATF+4 or ATF+5, which Chrysler specifically says is not compatible with either Dexron or Mercon.
They are not 'kids' working there. They are just arrogant if not ignorant.
This ole aircraft mechanic just wants the parts or items. Not the opinons.
But wait.. there's more!
June 2023:
I tried the website:
Website told me I had over two hours left to qualify for 'free next-day delivery' so I completed my order right then for three serpentine belts.
I could have drove in if I had known there would be a run-around and now this is a delayed royal sh*tfest. thanks.
The website made no indication this was estimated. It actually had the free next day in bold print but of course now the email says that this was an 'estimate'.
That is some serious bait and switch tactics.
At this point I will presume that dealing with Salida O'reilly's (whether in store or online) is just a royal no-no unless I need overpriced wiper blades on the spot. Use Rain-X, baby!
*Update: 26 hours later they still have not been delivered (or even shipped). They say it will be here Friday.. that would be three days.
They are the last thing I will try now, locally. :/

Good O'Reilly's. The staff was as friendly as every other one I visited. I stopped some hose and trans fluid after my trans cooler line burst on the trail. Picked up everything I needed to get my vehicle back on the trails. I hope to not need to visit again the next time I'm in Salida, but I certainly will if I need parts. Thanks!

I arrived at O’Reillys this morning. The clerk was near the door when he saw me. He turned around and walked away as I was saying good morning. He said nothing. He had his chewing tobacco in and just stared at me. No friendly word. No how may I help you look past me very rude eyes. I got my filters I’m sure they’re correct do I need to have a friendly auto parts person? No. But geez how unfriendly an interaction.

Crystal was EXTREMELY HELPFUL, WELCOMING AND KNOWLEDGEABLE!!!CRYSTAL was working a 16 hour day ( due to employee shortages) at the Salida, Hwy 50 Store next to Walmart last Saturday night.She helped me, late that busy evening with a smile and caring attention.I needed Hydraulic Oil for my old Chevy plow truck, and she researched the product I needed that night.
