Disappointing! This has been my cats vet for years. I moved to the Denver area for work a couple years ago (moving back to Rifle soon) We have gone back and forth to Dr. Green even through the pandemic. Recently- over the Christmas holiday, my geriatric cat of 16 years got extremely ill with diarrhea, puking and weight loss. First, I took him to an emergency and then decided to drive to see Dr. Green for an exam and bloodwork but when we got there, we were told that their in-house blood machine had been broken down for over a week and was “hopefully going to be fixed by the technician that afternoon.”Why they did not mention this to us before we drove three hours in the snow with a sick cat, is beyond reason! After paying for an exam, urine test, and bloodwork, the office assistant comes back with, “well there’s good news- everything is negative, and there’s bad news- everything is negative” They claimed bloodwork was negative and the “Dr.” Prescribed my cat an anabiotic as a cure all. When the anabiotic didn’t work, and I called back rather upset, wondering if those blood test were even accurate or if they could have been a false negative (due to their machine just being “fixed”) I was given only excuses, Because the fact is that, something was wrong! It feels like they used my cat as their trial guinea pig. He wasn’t getting any better and there was a chance that I would need to put him down. All the testing they did was in-house and the diarrhea testing that would have had to be sent out to a third-party testing site was avoided. I asked why and the office assistant mentioned the cost. Yes, I did ask about costs, and no I don’t like paying for stuff that is unnecessary, But, I also agreed to any number that came up to save our cat. Whenever I called and asked questions, I would get bogus answers from the receptionists, who talked like, she knew more than the vet. So upsetting and then she proceeds to tell me that they no longer want to be our vet. Ethically, I do not feel they did the right thing, only making stuff up along the way. Complete lack of compassion….UPDATE- our beloved cat has now been put to sleep by another vet in Rifle. We chose VALLEY VET for the procedure and Dr. Pearce was kind and compassionate. It’s hard to lose a pet companion, especially after 16 years, but we are grateful that the end of life experience was handed in a compassionate, honest, and respectful manner. God Bless our Beloved Boots. Rest in peace.

Best place to take pets. Not run by a MBA or a Corporation telling the vet how to increase profits. Saved my dog's life after Valley Vet over prescribed him and poisoned him.

This is the best place to take your pets. They are reasonably priced and genuinely care about your pets. They are very nice people and the office is clean. I highly recommended this place and love taking my fur babies there knowing they are in the best hands ♥️Dr Green and the staff is the best ❤️

I had a great experience with this vet. I could not get my dog in due to expenses, so I called Town and Country, and the receptionist was so kind and really cared about my situation. Even though they were booked up, they squeezed me in as an emergency appointment. Dr. Green was very kind and help my doggie. I'm very grateful for people like the people at Town and Country.

I’ve been going to this vet for a few years now. I’m only 19, and have been going since I was in high school, and they have always treated me with respect and kindness. We have a relationship, so I trust that my pets are in good hands. They treat my pets with patience and friendliness; my Shiba Inu loves them! If you know anything about Shibas then you know they can be VERY dramatic, but she feels comfortable and safe here. I always get a quick diagnosis and the care is incredibly affordable. My dog was spayed by Dr. Green and her healing was perfect. I recommend Town and Country to anyone!

We love Dr. Green and the whole staff. We moved here four years ago and knew nothing about moving from a rainy climate to a dry one, which is a big difference for pets. The girls and Dr. Green always take the time to explain everything and figure out what is wrong and see what is the best way to solve any problem. They do run behind sometimes, but it’s the same as any good doctor’s office because he doesn’t rush through any appointment. We bring both our foster dogs and our regular dogs here and all are happy with Dr. Green and never scared. We can’t recommend enough.

Staff truly loves animals and are super friendly. Dr.Green is so kind and knowledgeable - his many years of experience really come through in how animals calm down in his presence. He takes time to explain things and is genuinely concerned for each pet and owner alike. This is a gem of a vet office in the greater valley area. Thanks!!

I like that when your dog or cat needs vaccines or something else that they send a colorful card saying that your animal is due for Vaccines instead of a phone call in the middle of work or in a meeting.

Don’t say open 24 hours if you aren’t going to answer the phone. I saw online it said 24 hours but another website said mon-fri 9-5 so why say 24 hours. I need to get my cat in ASAP and I was hoping to rely and you guys but I guess not. Either update your information or actually be open 24 hours

You have misleading information on here. Change your hours you’re not a 24 hr business.
