This happened in 2019, but I still will not return to O'Reilly.I had serpentine belt snap in an older Ford. The alternator, tensioner and battery all stopped working. I got all 4 parts from O'Reilly's "brand new". Took them home and realized the alternator was refurbished. I thought oh well, as long as it works. But it did not. I took it back to O'Reilly and asked for an exchange because I paid full price for a brand new alternator but received a non-working used one. They refused. I asked for a refund. Refused again. At that point I'm out over $200 and my truck still won't start.So I go across the street to AutoZone and received by far the best customer service ever. Not only did the manager accept a return(exchange) for a part he never sold me in the first place, he went out of his way to find me a brand new alternator and have it express shipped. Finished installing it and truck ran great ever since.I will continue to avoid this O'Reilly in particular and if given a choice when in need, I will always choose another store such as AutoZone or Napa.What kind of corporate policy doesn't except returns/refunds/exchanges for non-functioning items???

I just stopped in to pick up tail light bulbs and the loveliest young man, named Chris, took the time to install them for me.I find that the store in Rifle, CO, is generally helpful and courteous.

I went there to get antifreeze, there was none on the floor because the floors had been waxed the night before. A heavy set woman with dark hair was at the counter I asked her for the antifreeze and she just walked away. Then a few minutes later a man walked out and asked me if I was looking for the Dex cool antifreeze I said yes and he went in the back and got me a bottle. I felt like I was a bother for shopping there. Next time I'll go to Autozone!!!

One star is way too much for this place. Poor customer service, I always have to go to the closing employees because clearly the other guys lack some knowledge specially that one Trevor guy, has more attitude than knowledge. I suggest take your business to another local auto parts store, that will actually appreciate your business.
