Chris & Jacob took 4 of us on a guided walk/wade trip for my dad's 60th birthday. We had a mix of experience in the group and these two were absolutely wonderful! They allowed my dad (very experienced fly fisherman) to do his own thing while they helped the rest of us. They were extremely patient, knowledgeable, and friendly. We enjoyed our trip so much and will definitely recommend Rigs as well as Chris & Jacob! Thank you!

Incredible experience! The crew from RIGS has the trip down the Gorge nailed. Everything ran like clockwork. Our guides put my buddy & I on fish every day. I ate more & better for the three days we floated than I do at home. The set-up at camp each day was well thought-out, and the equipment (tents, sleeping bags, etc) was all top notch. I highly recommend if you have an opportunity to book a trip, do it!

We did the Gunnison Gorge 3-day float trip and it was great. We were able to have one day with each of the guides and each one taught us something new. They were all very knowledgeable and had their own way of helping us improve our technique. We couldn't have asked for better weather, but the guides and the experiences they contributed to are what made the trip. This is definitely a trip I'd consider doing again.

Rain? What rain? Mac was fantastic. He stuck it out in some tough weather, was patient and willing to teach us the essentials. He spent time getting to know us and teach us what we wanted to learn. And, he got us on some fantastic fish. Great trip overall, absolutely would recommend. Well done RIGS.

Spent a beautiful day on the San Miguel River with family and Rigs took excellent care of all of us. Guides were knowledgeable, friendly and worked hard to ensure that everyone had a great time. I recommend this outfit highly and cannot wait to return!

I have recently picked up fly fishing and needed to get some new gear. Rigs was recommended to me by some friends who swear by this place and now I know why. Spencer, the shop manager is awesome. He took a lot of time to explain the ins and outs of fly fishing gear and what I needed to get started and didn't try to upsell a newbie. He offered many different levels of gear and let me try the rods and reels out back and make a decision for myself. Tim, the shop owner, is also very friendly and obviously knowledgeable about the local waters. Both him and Spencer were open to giving me advice on where to fish locally. What the best part of the experience was their customer service post sale. I went to a recommended stream and as I was taking my rod from the case, a tuff box from the truck fell on the tip and broke the rod. I haven't even removed it from the case! I took the rod back to the store and explained the situation and how it was completely my fault. Spencer grieved with me for a minute and took the rod back immediately and offered me a replacement. I only had to pay $50 in warranty fees. They have a well deserved awesome reputation in the San Juan/Ridgway area for a reason. I can't wait to move there in the next year and take some guided trips with their team! I won't shop anywhere else for fly fishing gear. Thanks you guys.

We just completed our second guide trip with Doug, he's fantastic!! Rigs is always great to work with, met our expectations for our first drift down the Gunnison. I would highly recommend Doug and Rigs for your guiding needs.

Shop is amazing. Every time I stop by the staff is super helpful. Very friendly and enjoyable to talk with. Recently did a guided trip through them and it was a blast. Our guide Spencer took the time to teach us all kinds of information about fly fishing to help equip us to go out on our own which was our main goal. Had a great time catching fish and learning techniques.

We had a blast with Chris on the San Miguel. He was engaging and patient while my wife and I were engaging in something brand new to us. Best of all he was determined for us to each catch a fish, and we both did! It was really cool to see that he was just as excited as we were for this crowning achievement that capped off our trip to Ouray perfectly. We would definitely do it again.

Wife and I fished with Alex. Neither of us had ever fly fished before, but Alex taught us what we needed to know and how to be efficient with the fly. Landed a few fish, and missed a few others. Had a great day on the water, and Alex was a great guide. Very knowledgeable on both fly fishing, and the environment in which we pursued fish. Will definitely book another trip with Rigs, and hopefully Alex our next trip to Colorado.The whole crew at Rigs was willing to answer whatever questions we had, and were very professional and polite.

The shop was super responsive and great to work with. They were able to get us a full day float trip last minute. Mac was our guide and was such a nice guy full of knowledge and extremely patient with both myself and my 12 year old son. We had a blast and he took great care of us the whole time!

My wife and I just returned from a trip through the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. What an amazing trip. I would give Rigs a 15 out of 10 rating . Every little detail was taken care. The guides were fantastic. The food was as good as any you would get in a five star restaurant. The accommodations the tents, the carts, the sleeping bags outstanding. The fishing was off the wall great, a trip of a lifetime. We hit the salmon fly hatch perfectly, putting 30 fish in the net on the first day. At least 25 were 18 inches or bigger. I cannot say enough good things about the trip about rigs and the fishing. Thank you Jerry Knapic.

1/2 Day Fly fishing was awesome! Zach spent a lot of time showing and sharing techniques and how the fish work the river. We were on the the fish within 15 minutes and and stayed busy the whole time. Very nice cutthroat's and several rainbows. One of the best guide trips I have ever been on. Highly recommend the tail water 1/2 day!
