First time fly fishing. Had a great time learning how to fish and hooking some great trout! Our guide Chris was knowledgeable, patient, and motivating. Fishing the Cimarron was beautiful and Chris knew the terrain well! Great overall experience!

My brother and I traveled from Ohio for an 4 day Colorado fishing adventure. We booked our trip with Rigs because we have fished with them before and had a great experience the first time. Ethan was our guide for the day. He did a fantastic job despite all that Mother Nature threw at us that day. We had scheduled a float trip on the Lower Gunnison as a warmup to our 3 day trip into the Gunnison Gorge. Unfortunately, several rainstorms blew out the river and we were unable to float that day. So Ethan called an audible and took us on a walk/wade trip to “Pa-Co”. Despite extremely high water levels the water was clear and fishable. Ethan was able to help us catch a few fish and have an enjoyable day despite the challenges. He has a fantastic attitude and was committed to helping us. He is an excellent fisherman and guide. While the day was logistically challenging due to the weather, Rigs and especially Ethan went above and beyond to see that we had a great day. Thank you. See you again soon.

This was our family’s first time fly fishing - and Rig’s really took care of us; from gear set up, to the expert guides, and then having the ultimate fishing experience.
Mac and Benny were amazing- really made it special for the kids- we all caught fish!!
Will definitely do again - and recommend Rigs to anyone wanting to get on the river

RIGS guide service provided the best wade trip ever. I was intimidated at the prospect of fishing the legendary Gunnison and my guide Keith made it as easy as fishing spring creeks back home.Service was great. Shop contacted me ahead of time with arrangements. Pick up on time. Keith quickly figured out my modest skills and was extremely courteous of my old guy limits. Greatly appreciated his tips on casting, not to mention reading the water, and mini entomology course.Good lunch provided, as was quality gear. Stuck a dozen beautiful rainbows and brown trout . And mastered the long line realease:-) in Angel canyon! So if you want a great time in western Colorado be sure to book a trip with RIGS

During our trip to Utah and Colorado for my son’s high school graduation trip, we wanted to try our hand a fly fishing. After reading reviews of guide shops in the area, we settled on Rigs and booked a full day trip. The booking process was super easy and they contacted us the day before to make sure we didn’t need anything and that we didn’t have any food restrictions for the provided lunch.
We arrived at the shop a little before 8 to check in, sign waivers and get fitted for our waders and wade boots. We then met our guide, Benny, who drove us to the river to start our day. We started the morning about 8:15 with basic fly fishing techniques. By 9:00am we had both caught our first trout. The rest of the day was similar, with us moving to different parts of the river, Benny showing us higher level techniques, and catching more fish. We caught 8 trout that day (and hooked a few more that we didn’t land), but we were the only people I saw pull a fish from the river.
All in all, the trip was everything we’d hoped it would be. Big shout out to Rigs, and Benny specifically, for making our special trip even more special.

An outstanding trip, better than presented. The memories of three days with my two sons, son-in-law and grandson are invaluable. The guides were professional, fun, very knowledgeable and hard working. The logistics, food, accommodations and all-around service was superior. And the river, although we had a high-water flow did not let us down with great fishing, exciting rapids, and natural beauty. If you like fly fishing don't miss this opportunity.

Jack and Mac were amazing and patient guides. My son (14) and a great friend of mine were completely new to fly fishing....I was really rusty. They tought us how to fly fish. We caught some rainbows and brown trout. It was a great time.

Jake our guild was terrific. Very friendly and professional. Took the time to teach and help us catch fish. The gear was also top notch. The shop itself was fantastic. Due to a major road closure we had to cancel out trip. The shop made it easy to reschedule the next day. Great shop great service highly recommend them. Can't wait to come back.

We had an amazing time…..first class all they way! All of the guides were extremely accommodating of our personalities and very knowledgeable and attentive. All three of the fishing guides, Ethan, Drew and Spencer, did a tremendous job of putting us on fish. Trey (guide in training) is going to make a fine fishing guide (he is very easy going and patient). I can't recommend this trip enough!

First class trip with top notch service from start to finish! I want to thank the staff at Rigs for putting together such a wonderful day and a half of fishing. Mac guided and we could not have asked for a better time on some beautiful water. He knew we were both novice fly anglers yet had the patience to really help us improve our skills. He put us in the position to catch some great fish and we had success. I was so happy to catch my first Rainbow Trout with his guidance and will making more trips with Rigs in the near future.

We had a tremendous time as first time fly fishers! Chris is an awesome guide who took the time to explain what we needed to know and was patient when we didn’t do things quite right. Everyone was helpful and friendly. Five stars for certain!
