Lots of artifacts from Rangely with information about it. Several buildings including an old 1room school house and camp house. A real dinosaur bone found locally. The museum director is full of information about the town as well.

I've stopped here twice for a picnic lunch. I went through the museum the first time. It is kind of neat. There is some interesting information about the oil drilling done in the area including what life was like at the time in the area. They also had some neat glowing rock samples (in a black light booth) that my kids enjoyed.
I wouldn't say this is a destination stop, but if you're in the area and have an hour or two it could be a pleasant diversion for yourself or your kids.

I liked learning about the local families and founders of Rangely. The old technology and antiquities provide a glimpse of the way of life on the old homesteads.
