They don't bath the animals and want to charge you what a purebred puppy costs no wonder why they are so full of animals. $450 for a mixed puppy?! When we just got a purebred for $500 and that included shots, being fixed and it was clean lol do they euthanize them after having them for so long? Do they get some sorta kick back for euthanizing? Why is the cost so high? Why don’t the animals get bathed?

I made the drive from Colorado Springs because I was interested in a little kitten. I was so happy to see he was still available once I got there and I adopted him right away. The guy who helped me was so helpful and kind, he walked me through the process and answered every question I had. They offer military discount and also give a bag of food to take home and a voucher for a free visit in one of the vet clinics around town. I just had a great experience and I can't wait to see this little kitten grow with me.

The sweetest staff when I adopted my fur baby kitty. The lady Sam who introduced us to "Frankie" was not only kind to us but showed loving kindness to the animals as well. Also the gentleman behind the counter the day we picked her up who's name I did not get. ? He had a long cool beard like my husband and was so sweet to us when we came in all frazzled from traffic and the long drive. We could not be more grateful to your wonderful staff for helping us with our new addition to the family who we have renamed (LeeLuu Grace)

Tried to bring in a stray for drop off got there at 4:59 doors already locked even after me calling to let them know I would be there at 5 and being told they would still accept the stray. I watched 4 different employees make eye contact with me and ignore me while still helping another customer inside. I had to call animal law enforcement to ask them to call their employees to actually help the stay animal. Horrible care from the 4 employees working. Your job is to take care of and protect lost stray animals but refused to take one in because it was past your "working hours" as I was told from the man that finally came out rudely to take the dog in from me. Very sad that people who are supposed to care about the animals don't care enough to take 5 minutes to take the dog in because it's past their business time. Lazy and careless.

Sarah in customer service was great, really helpful and caring. She helped me let owners of a lost dog know where their dog was possibly at! Thank you Sarah!

We have adopted 2 pups from this facility. Our latest is "Wolf" (known to the shelter as Fabonacci. We got him 10 days ago. Zach, you were so helpful and supportive through the adoption process. I forgot to get your email to send you updates. The ladies I spoke with on the phone, Christina and Amanda, were so sweet and answered all my questions. We cannot thank yall enough. Wolf and Mattis get along great. He fits right in with our pack family. Wolf is loving farm life. Adopt dont shop! Rescues are amazing! ?

I recently visited the humane society with my boyfriend to surrender some animals, and I must say, I was highly disappointed with the service we received. The representative we dealt with seemed completely unsure of what she was doing, and the rest of the staff appeared equally lost. It’s disheartening to see such a decline in professionalism, especially considering that there used to be three excellent representatives who were knowledgeable and efficient. It seems that all the good employees are gone now, and the overall atmosphere is unprofessional. Additionally, the wait time was ridiculous. I urge the Human Society to invest more in training their staff to provide better service to customers and animals.

I just got back from the pueblo adoption center and was refused an adoption due to having cats. I believe her name was Jess, but I came in after serious consideration online to adopt a dog named Harley with money in hand. The visit went amazing, and Harley's temperament was very calm. I don't worry about my cats, as they've been around prey driven animals often. I was not asked about my cats, I was only immediately denied and offered one pitbull to look at out of the entire shelter.I would hope learning that your employee does not allow willing, workable adoptions and instead would prefer an animal to remain in a shelter environment longer would be concerning. I was basically disqualified from ALL DOGS in the shelter over having well trained cats.Mind you, I have a 2500 square foot house with a large, fenced yard. I drive a 2019 Dodge Durango, I make 6500.00 a month and have at least one adult home at all times. I do not understand at all why I couldn't pay your shelter to take home a dog other than ONE pitbull.

My wife and I were doing a house clean out and the gentleman who owns the home is in very bad health, he also had 13 cats we really didn't know what to do and he wasn't going to be able to take them when he moved. We reached out to the Humane Society and they were absolute Angels they took the cats in said they would all get fixed and get their shots. I have a great respect for these people their Kindness and Love ofAnimals deeply touched our Hearts. Thank You to all the Staff for showing so much compassion and care without your help we really don't know what would have happened to these fur babies but at least now they have a chance.

Called a week ago about three dogs without tags, continuously breeding. I am calling once again because nothing has been done. I don’t think anyone calling with concerns about abused and or neglected animals should have to wait on hold for over 25 minutes. Is there not enough funding? This should be brought attention too? Update: 2205 still has pit bulls running around. They bring more over for breading. I see you all make contact but I believe your officers are too scared to take action.
