I recently switched to this practice from a different vet, and I could not be more pleased. The office staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. Additionally, Dr. Klein is the absolute best. She is extremely kind and considerate with the both the horses and the owner. I have a 25yo mare with several different health issues. Dr. Klein continues to check in about her. I value her advice and expertise on my mare’s care, and we have greatly improved my mare’s quality of life. Thank you Dr. Klein!

Dr Izzy is a wonderful Equine Vet. She is very knowledgeable, patient, will explain everything to you. She did an amazing job on one of our mares that was attacked by a Mtn Lion Last year. She has cared for several of our horses. She is just amazing!! All of the Vets there are great, dr izzy is my go to!!

Dr. Issey came out to do our pre purchase exam. She was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and very thorough! I will be using her for anything that requires a Vet with my new gelding. Thank you so much for making it such a smooth process. As much as I like you, I do only hope to see you yearly though for shots ??

Honestly, I don’t know where to begin-the quality of care, facility, compassion, dedication, and expertise that the entire staff and vet himself provide is unprecedented and absolutely unparalleled! It was nothing short of a miracle that they saved my old man, Butters, from sand collic. I will forever chose their veterinarian clinic....if you want to hear more keep reading....I’m a fairly new horse owner and i have yet allot to learn. So my horse, Butters is 23 year old palomino recently colliced from a sand blockage. I had called my mobile vet, who also played a part in saving him, she did what she could at the ranch but being a mobile vet her abilities were limited. After trying to rectally feel the blockage she couldn’t find it, then tubing him to release bile fluid build up in his tummy, she then informed me there wasn’t much else she could do. She suggested i take him to one of four vet clinics in the area, who could proceed to help him with IV fluids. A friend of mine reminded me that one of my coworkers, Jordie (now friend) worked at one of the four clinics my vet recommended and she suggest i use Colorado Equine Veterinary Services, and i am so thankful i went here. I called ahead of time on a Sunday after hours emergency line where i left a message that was immediately followed by a response from the vet himself, Dr. Unruh to bring him in. Upon arrival him and all his staff and techs were awaiting butters arrival and were ready to treat. They did some diagnostics to help make the best plan we could in efforts to save/help him. Dr. Unruh had put his expertise to the test and had felt the blockage, he came up with a plan to start IV fluids to help soften and break up the sand blockage, in addition to some antibiotics to prevent infection from the sand scraping his insides. With around the clock care, checkups, rectal checks, heart rate checks, fluid checks, tube checks, the whole nine yards Dr. Unruh and his team saved my baby. Through this process they did everything they could to go above and beyond to make my horse and I the most comfortable we could be in the scariest situation. I could go on and on about how amazing them and their facility was, but there’s no word to describe how thankful i am for their entire team, support, and quality of care and compassion for me and my horse. Butters is now on a plan to continue to make a full recovery thanks to this team. I was still nervous he would relapse when i got him home, so i reached out to Jordie, Hannah, and another on-site vet who helped answer all my questions even after returning home. HUGE thank you to Dr. Unruh, Hannah, Jordie, Tèa, Sherri, and Dr. Issey for EVERYTHING they did to make this the best experience possible. You guys were the BEST!

They did a PPE for me when I bought a mare in CO sight unseen (I live in TX). The receptionist was very friendly and easy to talk to. The vet that did the PPE was thorough and honest. I would use them again.

Beware I do not recommend this vet. Since Dr Morris left the replacement is a subpar vet at best. If it’s not in the box she can’t comprehend a request. She treated my pro horse horribly. I requested communication from the owners 6 times without a single response. Then they stole my credit card number to pay my invoices instead of dealing with the issue. Do not pay over the phone, they’ll have your information for future fraudulent use.
