I love Chec and support them whenever I can!! I see them at the homeschool conference every year and whenever I have a question they are always there with a smile on their face and so eager to help answer my questions. They are a valuable resource for our homeschool community and I'm so thankful to see them at all the homeschool functions ready to give encouragement to any family needing guidance and support.

Highly recommended! CHEC was a go to resource for our family for resources, how to’s, and anything related to homeschooling. Thank you for being a beacon of hope for me and my wife.

It’s ridiculous they take your $85 right away, to take over 2 weeks to self righteously “approve” or “disapprove” your application, based on reasons that are really none of their business, & aren’t mentioned anywhere on their website (or I wouldn’t have even bothered applying) also, have nothing to do with simply record keeping for your child’s schooling. When my family was not approved, I asked for advice on where I should go from there, & all they could recommend was “NOI” to school district. Well we ended up at Poudre River, they were super helpful before I even payed to have my child enrolled, there is no approval or disapproval process, just genuinely concerned with serving your families needs. I went from thinking CHEC would be our families go to umbrella school, to NEVER again.

We are a military family so moving and learning the expectations of every new state in regard to reporting has been a challenge. Opportunities like CHEC make providing our kiddos with a quality education all that much easier. We greatly appreciate their help along the way.

We absolutely love CHEC and the incredible care and support offered up to us in our journey! We have felt well informed, and have felt we have been supplied with amble opportunities to learn more. We have felt strongly supported and encouraged. We love the many resources made available to us, and use them often. We are glad we can trust such an awesome organization. We highly recommend!

This was supposed to be a great experience for us and I thought that is was until I received a letter that the dis enrolled all my children because I refused to do the registrars job. Let me explain. I took attendance while my children were in the program (as we are required to do) I uploaded all those records. My children transferred mid year from a public school. Those records were all sent to the registrar, attendance included, prior to us enrolling. SO she had those records. I would guess they would have a starting balance. I don't have those records from the public school, they didn't send them to me. At the end of the year she then wanted to send me the public school record and told me to add them up and add them to my records and re-submit. I literally uploaded my records 3 times and at the end of it all they still did not accept my ATTENDANCE records and dis enrolled 3 young people for an entire year! DISGUSTED!! First of all it is not my job to add they previous incoming starting balance from the public school to my records. I knew I was to keep track of my homeschool attendance, which I did and that is what I uploaded several times. What is so disheartening is that these kiddos have suffered so much during all this nonsense with back and forth with covid and now to find out an entire year has been taken from them from a program I thought would be safe is just sick. They know darn well that 1/2 a year in public school was accounted for and they have the records. The registrar needs to do the job she is paid for and input them and accept my records and not punish 3 young children!

These guys are an important part in our homeschool journey and we appreciate their work greatly. They do lack staffing to where it’s become almost impossible to communicate with them in any meaningful way, so don’t count on much interaction and expedience. But we all need to be understanding in today’s climate where qualified help is either unaffordable, not available, or not willing to work because of our litany of welfare handouts. I hope this changes for them in 2022!

I personally don't like the "behind the scenes" that they pull on families. No legally they don't need to know your marriage status, vaccinations, etc.

Wonderful support for homeschooling families. The staff have answered numerous questions in the past and continue to offer support whenever it's needed.
