Awesome store we shopped there and received some great deals on all our snow clothing for our kids which is very important when you have a big family. Everyone was so friendly so we decided to go in one more time to buy a helmet for my youngest because she fell the last time we went skiing and the ski resort does not rent them so decided to buy one instead. When we arrived we found out instead of buying one they rented them. We decided to rent all the equipment instead of renting at the resort. They paid much more attention to detail when fitting us for the equipment and we were very happy with the experience and will continue to give them our business when we are in town. Thank you

Great local shop for ski and snowboard rental and a ton of gear for purchase too, there's also a lake right behind it that's sometimes frozen enough in the winter to skate on and they rent skates for it.

Do yourself a favor and go to ski and bow down the road. So much better customer service.

Great service and friendly staff. We dropped off our skis a day early and they refunded the last day rental fees. A nice touch I doubt all shops would do. They get busy so get there early if you can.

We came to town to ski at wolf creek but the pre reserved skis at the resort were booked. Summit was easy to reserve online, a smooth process at pick up and even easier dropping them off- we also grabbed some last minute items for the day on the mountain and some souvenirs. It was a great spot!

Very good service, was walked through every pro and con of my board along with a staff that very clearly knew what they were doing and knew how to help. Best rental process I've had to this day after 12 years worth.

I’ve been to Summit quite a few times with my friend who has spent thousands of dollars over the years supporting this locally owned business. Unfortunately, my latest experience wasn’t good at all and I will never return. I am brand new to snow boarding and I worked with a great young man to get fitted for some boots, bindings and a board. When I was being fitted for boots, they just didn’t feel right. They were extremely uncomfortable at the toe and when I mentioned this to the young man, he indicated that I needed to push my heel into a little crevice at the back of the boot and they will be fine. Again, being a beginner, I took his word for it and bought the boots. We went to the Wolf Creek, I put on the boots and they immediately started to hurt as I walked up the mountain from our vehicle. I didn’t want to get on a lift until I had some practice on the bottom. I put the snow board on and by that time my feet were screaming in pain. We decided to rent skis for the half day we were there so that I can enjoy myself with the intentions on returning the boots for a bigger size. After skiing, we returned to Summit where they did not have another size and the gentlemen who was helping us said there would be no problem in getting out money back. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The owner said that the boots were damaged and they could do absolutely nothing. The boots were NOT damaged and they refused to be of any help. After all the support we provided this business, we will never return. In fact, when we left there, we went down the street to Ski and Row Rack where we purchased over $1500 of all brand new snow boarding gear! They were super friendly and helpful. Below is a picture from Ski and Bow Rack of what we purchased instead.

Nice ski shop, super easy to rent gear for wolf creek and quick, will definitely go there for rentals and avoid the lines at the ski area each time going forward.

I wish we could give zero stars. We have been coming to Pagosa Springs for 16 years and the past four years that we have stopped in this store, the same rude Manager is at the counter. She really seems quite ungrateful for any business. Our kids call Summit “The mean lady place.” We prefer Ski Bow and Rack down the street. They are the friendliest folks. They are welcoming and professional. If they rented ice skates, we would never walk into Summit Sports again. Save yourself a sour experience on vacation and avoid this store.

Terrible experience! Will not return. We were strictly renting helmets and buying gloves. Rude condescending staff members. The guys fitting skis sounded nice from afar, but unfortunately we had to deal with nice nasty ladies at the front. We've never felt more uncomfortable. I felt a little insecure at first as I couldn't understand the hostility but I'm glad to see we aren't the only ones to have this experience. Tips you will need if you decide to go. Don't touch anything, don't walk into the fitting area unless you are being fitted, put your name on a list for rental and you must fill out the information at the kiosk as well. Be sure to check your charges before they process. My friend was overcharged ahead of me as was I 20 minutes later. We were told it was our fault.

Friendly staff with helpful information about the local area and activities. It's a snow shop, so expect snow shop prices, but also expect good gear and good help.
