My husband and I visited to celebrate our anniversary. I originally wanted to stay at Orvis, but they were booked. After careful consideration, we decided on Twin Peaks. I am so glad we did! We only stayed for one night, but enjoyed it tremendously. It was relaxing and a great getaway. The kiosk to check-in was quick and easy to use. It printed us a map of the facility with a star by our room. The staff in the lobby and pool area were all incredibly friendly. We stayed in a Queen Suite. The facility is outdated, but clean and comfortable. The room was spacious. The bed was comfortable. We were allowed to check-out at 12PM for $25 charge. The pools were beautiful! Vapor cave and sauna were a cool plus. Everything was clean and well maintained. Views were beautiful. The guests were quite loud at night, but the morning was more peaceful. Overall a wonderful stay for great price. We will definitely return and bring our family next time!

You stay here for the experience. It's an older hotel that needs remodeled. The hot springs is worth the stay! ALL of the staff is really nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet was included in our stay, it was good.

We stayed in room 115. (My husband called it a closet because it's small and dark and dated) The door doesn't fit in the door frame correctly so there is daylight coming through the door. Also there is a big hole in the plywood floor in front of the door. The gutters are dented and broken so they leak and there is ice built up in front of your room. Also the bed had a huge dip in the middle so you roll to the middle of the bed. I might try this place again if the remodel the rooms. The pool area was beautiful and relaxing but not worth $260 a night.Rooms: Rooms need remodeling.

Adjust your expectations about the rooms if you're going to this place but expect to be blown away by the beautiful pool area! It's absolutely gorgeous. My room was really dirty upon arrival, they offered to move me but I had already lugged my luggage and unpacked and blah blah blah so they gave me a 20% discount so that was decent enough. The pool experience more than made up for it, I am happy and will return.

First off, we think the people that left bad reviews missed the point. Sure it’s a little on the pricey side but I don’t think you could get a better value in Ouray that includes all of this access to hot springs and a great breakfast. The rooms are a little tight but were clean, good water pressure in the shower, and so many pillows to choose from that you should be able to find your comfy place. We slept great. The bathrooms have heat lamps which helped dry out towels and suits between pool visits. Bring your own conditioner, it’s not provided. Keurig coffee maker in room with a variety of k-cups to choose from.Housecleaning came by but we just asked for more pool towels which they gave us right away. The breakfast is GREAT! Incredible variety including basic continental options plus hot bacon eggs and sausage, country friend steak and biscuits and gravy were served each day. They change the waffle maker batter every day, first blueberry and then cinnamon. Eggs Benedict and omelette one day was traded for veggie burrito and French toast the following day. Coffee, tea flavored cappuccinos and a soda machine and juice machine. We didn’t have enough room for all the food we wanted to eat!The whole restaurant bar closes between 10:30-4pm, so pack a a cooler or head to town for lunch if you plan to spend the day at the resort. The bartender Pat made us great cocktails. The dinner menu is on point. Pizzas are packed with toppings (but could probably use more sauce). My memory tells me there were 9 tubs (6 family, 3 adult), 2 large swimming pools, a steam room and sauna (located in a cave, pretty cool). Kudos to you if you can enjoy the cold plunge pool as well! Open from 8am-10pm for guests. We will definitely come back. Our kids could not get enough and as a family with a very lively 4 and 5 year old, we were comfortable and safe the entire stay. We’ve also travelled a bunch and have stayed in the best hotels in NYC to tiny home trailers with shared bathroom. You need to know what to expect, this is not a luxury service type of spot. You create what you want with the great amenities. I hope this review gives other families a better understanding of what to expect and how to prepare. Don’t listen to the haters!

I am sadly disappointed with our stay here. The check in process was interesting to say the least. They have you check in on a kiosk as if you are checking in at Disneyland or an extremely busy resort, when we were the only people there. There is a person sitting behind the desk but God forbid that she could help you. Then, after you check in at the kiosk you have to go over to the desk to get further instruction. What a joke. The person we had to deal with was rude and condescending. I have been treated better at high class resorts than at this hole in the wall. Then we find out that unfortunately when you book online that they don't tell you that at this facility there are 2 distinct buildings with one being half a city block away and across the street from the hot springs and of course that is where our room was. This visit was for our 25th anniversary. I had hoped to surprise my husband with a nice get away, which unfortunately turned into a sorry mistake. It was also my husband's 73rd birthday. After much time we finally got our room switched to the main building closer to the hot springs, which was the main reason for our visit. Unfortunately they had to put us on the 2nd floor. Which in most places would not be a big deal because most decent hotels have an elevator. Not here!!! Instead there is an extremely steep set of stairs to climb carrying your luggage. For a 20 year old this is no big deal. For a 73 year old veteran that has disabilities as well as his wife that has sciatica, those stairs are a nightmare. However, we finally get checked into our room which was adequate. At this point I am truly questioning the $35.00 resort fee we were charged because this is by far no resort. However, I wanted to try to make the best of it. The stay there was average. The icing on the cake was when I went to check out and they then informed me that my check out price was an additional $50.00 because I changed rooms. When I stated that I should have been informed of this additional charge at the time, I was met with complete indifference by the person behind the desk who stated that she wasn't the person who made the change. After everything that we experienced I can only say that I will never stay there again nor will I recommend this facility to anyone else. There were a number of other guests that we spoke to while in the hot springs who all agreed that this would also be there 1st and last stay there. Between the ridiculous check in process, to the "resort" fee to the rude staff, sadly this is one of the worst weekend stays I have ever experienced!

Beautiful, unforgettable views. The room was clean. It was a quiet Tuesday so we always had a tub to ourselves & also the vapor cave. The buffet breakfast was good & included in the room price. It had a good variety of breads, waffles, biscuits and gravy, variety of meats, egg dishes, yummy fresh fruit, cereal, juices, coffee, some soda selections. The pools were mostly clean and very relaxing. I slept well after a nice soak. The coffee maker/Keurig type in the room did not work. It spilled coffee grounds into the coffee. Also no sweetener or creamer was available in the room. I walked over to get coffee in the River Building and it tasted like it had been made the night/day before. For coffee drinkers, this is a pretty big deal that needs to be right. I understand charging for waters, but the robes should be included with the room and not a $5 rental.Rooms: The room was clean aside from a little hair in the bathroom area. The beds were comfortable. The coffee maker/Keurig type in the room did not work. Also no sweetener or creamer was available in the room. I walked over to get coffee in the River Building and it tasted like it had been made the night/day before. For coffee drinkers, this is a pretty big deal that needs to be right. I understand charging for waters, but the robes should be included with the room and not a $5 rental.Walkability: Next time I would be sure to get a room close to the pools and not in the river side building. While I enjoy the walk, it’s chilly when you leave the pools to head to your room especially during the winter.Food & drinks: The buffet breakfast was good & included in the room price. It had a good variety of breads, waffles, biscuits and gravy, variety of meats, egg dishes, yummy fresh fruit, cereal, juices, coffee, some soda selections. We did not have dinner there.

As a retired Air Force Pilot and United Airlines Pilots I’ve stayed and hundreds of hotels in my career. This establishment does not meet the basic requirements of a safe place for your family. The owner, Ryan, verbally abusive to me. I recorded it and would happily show you if requested. The sidewalks and overall upkeep substandard. Cracked sidewalks. Icy walkways. And don’t expect customer service at the front desk. You have to use a kiosk computer as your “welcome”! They won’t even talk to you! In general the staff, hospitality and overall condition of this property is lacking. Look for other establishments in the area with proper ownership and management. I wish I could give a lower review but I trust y’all as smart and seasoned travelers to avoid this place. Ouray is a beautiful town. Don’t let this place taint your enjoyment of an otherwise beautiful place.

Went to the breakfast buffet. It was okay. The food was very sysco produced, and the eggs were the powdered kind. It's kind of pricey for mass produced stuff. Staff was really nice and the space was really clean.

Our room was outdated but I like the pools, view and the restaurant. The staff at the restaurant were friendly. We paid $243 for a Saturday night stay.

Great stay with a spacious room, the hot springs were not busy, and great range of temps. The main pool was perfect for kids.Walkability: Easily walkable to town. Loved though we were slightly off the beaten path but still super accessible.

We had a king bed room on the 2nd floor 227, could be alot nicer for what you're paying. The bed was great, though. We did the Valentines package which included chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of champagne!

Here in January. Get to our room and it's about 58 degrees in here. Been running the heat for hours. You can see daylight coming in around the door!! Probably won't soak as there is ice all around the pools. We stay in Ouray frequently and won't choose this place again for $230/night.
