BEWARE - My husband and I visited this shop for the first time on our trip to Ouray in October. Had a lovely chat with the owner, bought a shirt, went on our way. We have been back in Texas since that trip, but 7 months later in May I noticed a $14 charge on my credit card from this shop. I tried calling multiple times to get in touch with the owner but he has not gotten back to me. I am willing to believe that this was an honest mistake, but it does seem strange that there were 7 months between my visit to the store and the fraudulent charge. It seems like he saved my credit card number, waited a long time to charge it again, and then charged a smaller amount so as not to hopefully go unnoticed. Yes, I reported this to my credit card company, but that doesn't help warn any of you who shop there in the future. If you see him starting to write down your card number on paper when you go to checkout, don't let him.

Best vintage shop I’ve been to in many years. Owner will help you find anything you’re interested in. From vintage camping, tools, maps, records, cassettes, clothing. Very impressed with his set up. I believe he’s closed in the winter.

The owner Ron is a 10/10 guy. So many funny stories and a genuine passion for collecting. It was such a well organized shop full of gems, a must stop when in Ouray!

Stopped in Ouray on my way home to Lafayette, CO from San Diego, CA. I was looking for used vinyl records and was surprised to see the large collection of well-curated, well-organized vinyl records that Red Mountain Trading Post carried. I had the delightful surprise of meeting and talking to the owner. What a wealth of information and humanity in that man! The store is eclectic and filled with what I'd call eye candy as there's something for everyone and many things I had to ask, "What is this?" What a great afternoon I spent there. It's a must return place as well for anyone visiting Ouray.

Owner here is the nicest guy you will ever meet. Very generous and helpful finding particular items for camping and antique jewelry etc. He really cares about satisfaction. I had more fun shopping here than any retail store.

What a nice man! If you get to Ouray and forgot your warm shirt go get a flannel Great bargains, and curiosities.
