We love this place. Have been in several times during our stay here. The shop is clean and crisp and nicely displays the wares. Some of the things are quite expensive, but they are mostly made on site and are each unique and beautiful. There are dishes, ornaments, soap holders, and lots of pottery. The glass blower, Annie, let’s you go up through the back of the shops to the “backyard” where her glass blowing workshop is. She explains what she is doing and takes questions. There is also a small display of Ouray Mountain Rescue merchandise that goes to supporting that organization.

We had an amazing visit today. When we walked in, we were immediately invited to watch Anne blow glass in the hot room. It was incredible to watch her work.Anne is a true artist in her field. As she made a lump of molten glass into a beautiful work of art, utilitarian art. And, she was very kind and approachable. As she worked, she explained each step to us, and answered our questions. We found two beautiful highball glasses in the shop, but asked if it could be made with different color swirls. Anne made them for us as we watched. Just amazing. It made our day, and we truly have something special to bring home and an experience remember. If you get a chance to stop in, you won’t be disappointed.

I ordered a Christmas ornament from Ouray Glassworks and Pottery. The ornament is beautiful, the staff were absolutely wonderful to interact with, and the ornament got to us in plenty of time. Two thumbs up, 10/10, 5 stars, couldn't recommend higher.

This store is fairly small but it is a true, local artisan. The pricing is definitely in the fair range. Custom made pieces at very good prices. If you want to bring someone a souvenir that they will actually treasure or hang on their Christmas tree from Ouray and want to avoid the kitchey, touristy junk, this is definitely a very good option.

It was nice to watch Annie make a blown glass vase and talk to her in general. She makes beautiful glass and ceramics and priced affordably.

I visited this glass shop a couple years ago. I bought a beautiful low ball drinking glass. I still enjoy it often when I want to really enjoy a special beverage. Every time I do, i think of Ouray. What a cool little place. The glass I bought is truly a work of art. I am going to visit Ouray in 2022 again, and am glad to see this glass shop it is still there. This shop was a highlight of my visit to this beautiful little town. Can't wait to come back.

Great shop and Annie the owner is a great person. I am a member of another Search and Rescue association. Whenever I am in Ouray I purchase a t-shirt that supports the local Ouray Search and Rescue team. Ouray Glassworks & Gifts sells those shirts and and 100% of the sale goes to the SAR team. Anyway, while I was there, they were out of my size of shirt. Annie offered to mail me a shirt when she got more in. That is the kind of person she is and kind of shop she runs. Goes out of her way to be helpful. I highly recommend her and her shop for special and unique locally made items. Thank you Annie! See you next year.

My wife and I visited Ouray to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. I was so glad to find this shop and we picked up a small pottery bluebird that I will be able to keep in my studio as a memento of our time in Ouray. Highly recommended shop and artist!!

Beautiful pieces of art and functional everyday glass items made by local artists. Many are handblown and one of a kind. The woman (sorry but forgot her name) that owns the store is friendly and professional.

Ouray Glassworks & Pottery is one of my favorite shops in the San Juans. It’s a great place to buy unique hand made gifts made right there in the shop! I highly recommend a visit to this shop!
