I can not speak any higher of this hotel. We were arriving late, around 2 in the morning, a representative called me, and texted me instructions on how to gain entry into the building and my room. She literally left the bedside lamp on for us.The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and cozy. The staff was exceptional! When we woke up in the morning we were in dire need of some coffee. I was walking back to our room when a staff member saw me trying to open my room door with a coffee cup in each hand, she promptly ran over to me to help open the door. While leaving we had a mechanical issue with our vehicle. A stranger stopped and aided us, it turns out that he was an off duty employee of the hotel.I am not exaggerating when I saw that you could not ask for better treatment or accommodations.

We stayed in the small apartment that's part of the property. It was clean, and pretty quiet. We could hear people above us, but it was not bothersome at all. Having a kitchen was nice, but you'll need to bring all ingredients except for salt, pepper and coffee. Overall very happy, and will be back.

This place is fantastic! The woman who checked us in was so kind and walked us around the hotel to familiarize us with the property. The room was clean, functional and beautiful. The room fit the 1800s vibe and the bathroom was renovated and very nice. Our room was affordable and we really enjoyed our stay. I will definitely be staying here next time I visit Ouray!

The ladies at the front desk were kind and quick to check me in as I asked for a walk in reservation instead of calling ahead.Rooms: Not all rooms have windows to the exterior of the building. High ceilings. Bathrooms in each room.Safety: As a solo female traveler, this hotel felt very safe, warm and inviting.Food & drinks: Continental breakfast served every morning from 7:30-10:30. Muffins, toast, oatmeal, coffee, tea.Noteworthy details: Traditional keys used on each room.

We arrived after the lobby had closed for the evening, but we received a detailed text with information to access the building and our room. Very comfortable and quiet room right in the middle of Ouray.

We loved this hotel. The room was large and well appointed, with a beautiful high ceilings and windows, and a shower that was so lovely, I wish it was in my house. I've rarely said that about anything in a hotel. Comfortable bed. Everything was comfortable and very well done. Highly recommend.Walkability: Great location, could walk everywhere in Ouray.

Hotel was clean and comfortable, enjoyed our stay. However I will say I’ve since learned that most locals are very hateful about tourist behind our backs so just beware who you give your money too, meet the owners maybe if you care about that kind of thing.

Ok… so I almost don’t want to share this place because there are only so many rooms and I want it all to myself. It is beautiful, well updated and old-fashioned. Tanya captured the hotel, and Ouray for us: we have really nice things, but aren’t as snooty as some other towns ?. She, and the hotel, are effortlessly elegant and down to earth. The views from the outer rooms are breathtaking. The beds are really comfortable. The coffee in the morning is strong.Walkability: Right in the middle of main street. Terrific burger place with a rooftop next door. Ice cream and coffee across the street, nice restaurants a couple blocks away.

Can’t describe as well as we’d like - first rate hotel in the mountains of Colorado. Definitely a reason to come back: amazingly clean, staff is warm-hearted and kind, they’ve thought of every down to the towels we can use at the hot springs. Everything is top notch.Rooms: So clean!!!Walkability: Right in the center of town

I've stayed at this hotel several times, and love the history. Hopefully the new owner of the hotel will work out some of the facilities challenges ... starting with: Rooms Handicap Accessibility = there's not (or wasn't made aware of) an elevator to the rooms on the 2nd floor, etc, etc.Walkability: This is where history was made...

Beautiful hotel, solid build-no creaking floors, very quiet, amazing bed sheets, nice mattress, beautifully renovated bathroom, amazing views… just watch that there are two steps to get into the bathroom, whoops I forgot two times! No air conditioner, but the street below is so quiet that keeping a window open was fine. Free parking out front. Walk to everything. Shout out to Mexican “Mi Mexico” resturant, such good food and margaritas, family owned.

Really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ouray. Room was spacious (#10, get the extra sitting area rooms if you can), very clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable (maybe a small dip in mattress, but nothing really noticable). I like the touch of old charm mixed with updates. Location was perfect for walking to everything. Staff was friendly and helpful, hotel was quiet even with # of windows on the hallway side and being downtown. Breakfast in the morning was fresh muffins (definitely not stale), instant oatmeals, OJ, yogurts, hard boiled eggs, coffee, half and half, creamers, teas. There is a mirco and ice maker in the kitchen area, as well as utensils and such. They have guest umbrellas and towels you can use at the hot springs. Wish we could have stayed in town a couple more nights!

Converted boarding house. There are not a lot of amenities for the price. However, the bed was the most comfortable one of the trip. They also cater to bikers.
