I brought it to him to consider a catalytic converter replacement after diagnosed by a dealer. He explained that every time a catalytic converter is replaced they also replace the O2 sensor. He offered to change the O2 sensor only at first as a diagnostic to save money. Later he returned a call quickly to help me assess whether a catalytic cleaner fluid might help.

I just finally wanted to share my very unfortunate and negative experience I had with this business. I had my brakes done earlier in the year and upon me driving off his lot I noticed my car was pulsating horribly when I barely used my brakes. He said he’d refund me after he was told I would get the car fixed elsewhere. After he received the receipt for the service I got done, he changed his mind and said he needed the old parts from me before he could refund me. I obviously didn’t have the old parts anymore and was well within the warranty he provided and I was out even more money at the end for a simple brake service. I love supporting local and small businesses but I highly suggest that you go elsewhere for vehicle services. I was not only lied to about the refund but most importantly put at risk while driving all over a simple service that could not be done correctly. For mufflers and brakes, they are great. Good quality work at a good price. His overhead is low so you save money.

Called to see about getting catalytic converters and exhaust pipe changed out. Said he was out at lunch and would call back. Never heard from him, texted a day later, never heard back. I prefer to support local small businesses, but evidently, doesn’t need the work.But good business would be to call back and say, can’t do your job, but thanks for checking with my shop.
