Let me start of the main reason for this review, that'll be a misrepresentation of a condition of the vehicle that I flew all the way from Los Angeles to pick up. As you might expect, I end up nor buying it. After a long search on the web I found a vehicle 1995 Porsche 911 Cab with 68,000 miles on Craigslist listed by John, the owner of the Gunbarrel Import Motors. Car was described as True Mileage example with only two issues. Convertible Top has to be replaced with some hardware as well as a small leak from a chain cover. After a long conversation with Jake and John we went over the issues, that I was totally fine with, I agreed to fly in to pick up the vehicle. Before flying in, I asked them to perform a Compression test as well as a leak down test that I was happy to pay for as long as a car I'm buying is true to the description I was given. So, I paid for the test, Jake asked if I want to change the spark plugs, which I agreed to as long as test comes back within acceptable tolerances. Got a test results back, and I'm by no means a mechanic but a leak down test was shown as a 0% which is impossible on a 30 year old car, which already was a big sign that something is wrong, at this point my flight was booked as well as a hotel to stay over in Denver, and then I was planning on driving a car back to LA through the Rockies to celebrate our wedding anniversary with my wife. When I finally got to Gunbarrel, I took a car on a test drive, and quickly found out that the odometer on a car is not working, canceling a claim of a true mileage, one of the headlights was not working, AC blower was powering itself off intermittently, and the biggest issue was that the small leak they mentioned wasn't small at all, on top of that the were a bunch of small issues that I wont mention. After a test drive I got on the ground to check for the leak and the whole underside of the vehicle was covered in oil, as well as some oil was dripping on the exhaust and burning with smoke getting into the cabin. John new that I'm planning on driving this car back to Los Angeles through the mountains and the desert, and I asked repeatedly if I can do that, to which I got a reply that a car is in great shape and it shouldn't be an issue. With this type of leak it was unsafe to drive, so I had no choice but leave without a car, get a rental and at least complete a road trip that me and my wife were so excited about, spending even more money that I wasn't expecting to spend. When I asked John about at least a partial refund for the test and spark plugs replacement, he just brushed me off and said that he can't do anything. Horrible experience that I had to go through, and it just solidified my belief that even small mom and pop dealerships are lying through their teeth to sell you a car.
Here is a VIN for the car I was trying to buy WP0CA299XSS341808, so if you are reading this review please be aware, as now I understand why they won't list it on their website.

Incredible service and quality work. If you have a specialty car, or any import- these are the folks you want working on your car. Not cheap, but very much in this case, you get what you pay for. Thank you, Bruno. And a big shout out to the new Audi mechanic, I could tell the difference right away. :D Awesome experience. Thanks you guys.

I have long been fascinated by Niwot for its fascinating collage of businesses in the quaint downtown. Over the years those 2 blocks have been home to a fine piano store, marvelous antique stores, a coffee shop, and some upscale eateries. More notably, there was the essential Feed & Grain store and what you would expect right next door, Gunbarrel Import Motors. I always assumed that the glimmering car lot in the center of town (pop. 4091) was merely a small boutique dealership without any service facilities or trained technicians for maintenance and repair. I was most certainly wrong. I was delighted to learn that Gunbarrel Motors has a stellar service division with very knowledgeable interface advisors and a very well-equipped facility.
I brought in my Mercedes from Longmont earlier this month and received a far more economical solution than I had been quoted elsewhere, and they knocked out two significant repairs within a day. What I received a few hours after leaving it was a very exact and well-explained diagnosis with a choice on how comprehensive I wanted to go with multiple commendations. The following day, in them mid-afternoon, I returned the Mercedes loaner they had provided, since my repairs were completed exactly as discussed and within a day of their first encounter with my 15-year-old car.
As I write, the car runs great (they cleaned up a real greasy mess underneath) and what impressed me most is the way they communicated - the condition, the costs, and their flexibility in accommodating my schedule. GIM has the very best import service I have found in Colorado and when you need to fix your car, it is a rare joy to just drive it over to the comfortable town of Niwot.

I got my Jaguar F Pace serviced here today. This is my first experience with them and I would have given them 4 stars had it not been for the loaner vehicle that they provided. It was filthy on the inside (outside as well). The service itself was great. Staff was polite and the turnaround time for the oil change was good (same day). They cleaned my car which was great except for two visible scratches on the Interior Rearview mirror of my car which weren't there before (only noticed those when I had left the the shop). I am not sure I would go back to them as I wouldn't trust them with my vehicle based on this experience.

The guys at the front desk are very knowledgeable about cars and seem to be "in the loop" with the mechanic that does the work. When I pick up my 06 Range Rover, I want to hear about "what they found" and "have we solved the problem". Again, the guys at the desk either know the answers or will get me the answers. They've also helped me diagnose issues over the phone. Thanks to Jake, Bruno, and Chris.
