I do hate when my prescriptions aren't ready when I get there, but they jump on it as soon as I'm there. I waited in line at Walmart for 40 minutes just to have them close down for lunch when I reached the front of the line. That's why I switched to Jack's. I will say they have gotten better over the last few months. And I can honestly say that a lot of the problem with prescription refills is on the doctors end. I've called in a prescription a week in advance just to be told they are still waiting on the doctor.

Dr sent in pain script orders hours before we TRIED to pick up pain scripts,pharm states didnt have orders??,dr HAD to call pharm, HAVE them dig up orders that HAD been sent?,pharm monopoly on Westside of valley a factor?

Truly terrible. Had an RX for my son for amox. They initially dispense me only 2 days out of the 10 day course. Have to come back in 2 days for the rest. On that pick up, they only dispense an additional 2 doses. Have to come back the next day, for a third time, to get the rest of the prescription. On this third pick-up, they dispense us capsules (filled with white powder) and tell us our (5 year old) son needs 3.5 capsules, emptied out, mixed into something. You don't half capsules. You just don't. Any pharmacist, tech, or other health care worker should know that. I asked them to convert that RX to a liquid amox if the chew tabs were unavailable. Instead of that easy fix, they decided to instruct me to half a capsule. Not only inconvenient, but making decisions with an RX that destroy my trust. Literally never again. I'll drive the extra miles.

This is the 4th time in a row that they haven't had my prescription, even though I time it so I give them an extra 2 days to pick it up. First time no big deal, cause for 2 years I couldn't have asked for more excellent service. The queue didn't record me when I called in my prescription. Second time a new? Pharmacist thought it best to "scold me" for waiting so long to call it in. I didn't do that, but she wouldn't let me get a word in. Third time they blamed first me for not having my prescription renewed, then my Dr.s' office to return a confirmation call. They said it was a supply issue... yep, the new syringes they're using are MEAN! They hurt to inject. No control over trying to squeeze the air bubble out of the syringe- it plunges itself forward with such force you lose some of the medication??? What's happening Jack's Pharmacy?

My mom takes many medicines and was getting confused when and how much to take. She and I called the pharmacist and he was wonderful! He spent about 15 minutes on the phone with us explaining how the medicines worked together and why she needed them. He made them much less overwhelming. We both appreciated his time and expertise.

This pharmacy is the the one I’ve used for as long as I’ve lived in Monte Vista. Up until recently it was by far the best in the area. But the last visits I’ve done were not as great.
